CAT 2025 Exam will be held on November 30, 2025, for MBA/ PGDM admission, and the admit cards will be released on November 5, 2025. For more details, click here.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, established in 2001, is accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. The institute is also approved by AICTE. CGC Landran has been ranked 156^th by IIRF in 2024 for its BTech program. Furthermore, CGC Landran BTech has been ranked 359^th by Collegedunia in 2025.

CGC Landran offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Business Management, Hotel Management, etc. Admission to CGC Landran is done on the basis of GATE, JEE Main, MAT, and Punjab MET scores. The candidates can apply for admission through online and offline modes. BTech is the flagship program of CGC Landran. Highlights of CGC Landran Campus:

Library: The library is well equipped with a wider range of subjects. The college has membership in more than 10 e-journals and has 125 web-based courses. The central library has a collection of more than 205682 titles and a subscription to more than 200 journals, magazines, etc. It also has more than 136 video courses recorded by IIT faculty for the students. It can accommodate more than 300 students.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria is well equipped with modern furniture, electrical, automatic cooking and storing facilities, and serves hot lunch, snacks, breakfast, beverages, etc to the students, faculty, and staff members. The college also has Subway and Cafe Coffee Day. It can accommodate more than 500 students.
Hostels: The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have semi-furnished rooms with attached washrooms and a common room which is equipped with a TV. The hostel provides an air-cooler facility. It further provides a 24x7 water and electricity supply, hygienic mess facility, etc.
Gym: The college has separate gym facilities for boys and girls. The gyms are centrally air-conditioned. Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the students. My College is above than average in every aspect like the always give same priority to study , games and extra curricular activities . Also providing medical aids in physical and mental both aspects
My college also provide NCC course For student pursuing a armed forces carrier and Programs for those who want to start and start-up
My college have nice and clean grounds and have beautiful environment with keeping hygiene in mind so that we can enjoy are free time or can relax in a good environment which good for our both mental and physical health

Dislikes

They have less Smart Classes which affect on some practical implementation while being in a theory class
After Covid the fest Organixations are not up to the mark.
the girl to boy ratio are not up to mark as in many courses the girls are like 8-10 in strengths in a 55-60 class strength

- My college placement are better thant 70% of high reputated collegs in that area - The students are eligible from 6 semester means half way of 3 year for sitting in placements - thier are over 150 companies which visted our colleges every year and taking students from differect courses and offers are made up to 60%-85% of the students seated itn that placemnet drive - The Average package is aboout 3.5-4.0 lpa and the higgest package is for 2024 is 32lpa nad for the history the highest package is 54 lpa - 70-85% students get plcaed every year - WIll try for a good role in compant if not then persue master degree form the same college

- My college Provides many different Courses like B.tech(CSE) , B.tech(ECE), B.tech(IT), B.tech(CEC) , B.tech(Mechanical) , MBA , Hotel managemant , BSC , Hospitality and Tourisms , Animation and desigs , Arts , HUmanitites And Social Science . - The Student management faculty i liked the most . Beacuse the are always up to the mark and updated to the present situation happenings with student for their well being and alwasy support them in their hard times - Sports Faculty i didn't like that much . Beacuse we han only 2-3 faculty memders in this who are realy motivated towrds thier role and others are not taking it serioulsy - their are total 6 exams in a year menas 3 exams in a semester -> We have MST-1 , MST-2 ANd final exams for that semester , The Level of semster MST exams are easy to moderate but the level of final PTU semster exams are moderate to hard which is good for a student. thier are likerly 2-5 students who fail final exmas to pass not so many beacuse fo thier unserious

What is the eligibility criteria to get admission in college?

I'd be happy to help you with the admission process . As in my college there is no entrace exams you can enrool on the basis of 12 and 10 class percentage. Further you have to give an PI and select you course by your choice if their is any vaccanies you can avail that opportunity - Other Colleges hav not this much o of options and best circulum according to my college - The faculty are also lack in power and managemnt in other colleges - I didn;t get in good collegs other than my collegs because of entrance exam with reservation system

Not every class have ac ,mine do but others don't,classes at 4th floor face top much heat in summer while 1dt floor enjoy ac classes
No handwash equipment available in washroom or air refresher in washroom for at least decent smell
Stray dogs entering campus and roaming here there which may scare some student's

Admission:

This college was quite close and fees structure was good too , facilities provided are worth and ac rooms ,I applied to cu also but i rejected beacause of too much crowd there and facilitates don't rival the fee structure,too expensive ,exams cut off are decent and good education standard in cgc

I loved the modern infrastructure and active student communities, they used to help student when any asked for help.
I was a part of several clubs also I used to actively participate in event. I also took responsibilities in coordinating the smart india Hackathon event in our campus

Admission:

I researched several colleges but cgc landran stood out for its 100 % placements, modern infrastructure and active student community. I felt it would give me a right balance of academics, exposure and opportunities growth.

I applied in goswami ganesh dutta sd college Chandigarh as due to less percentage in 12 i was not able to get my name in the college . And i was not rejected from any of the college so I decided to join CGC landran mohali as admission was to smooth I submitted 10,000 online from the colege admission portal and the other amount by cash on the colege admission process and the process went very smooth I didn't face any problem in joing college. Cutoff was 50 percentage for my course.

What is the dress code for students of CGC Landran?

Yes, there is a dress code for every Tuesday and Thursday for students of CGC Landran.

The dress code is as listed below:

White Shirt
Grey Pant
Official tie as given by the college
Formal shoes.

Though there is a provision of a dress code, the institute is not very strict about it. There is no policy of fining the students for the violation of the dress code. There is also an optional Royal Blue CGC coat (blazer) for engineering and a Black CGC coat for management students.

Regardless of the dress code, students with casual dresses are found on campus at most. Most students wear the college shirt with jeans (Black/Blue/Gray). Even if your HOD catches you not wearing the uniform on Tuesday or Thursday, they are not likely to say anything. But the Jhanjeri campus is quite strict about the dress code. They also check students' IDs at the entrance.

B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main for Punjab domicile candidates. For the candidates belonging to other states, the admission to B.Tech is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling conducted by PTU. B.Pharm admission is offered either on the basis of JEE Main score or PTU CET. Admission to B.Tech (LE), B.Sc, BBA, BCA, BHMCT and BTTM courses is completely merit-based followed by PTU Counselling. M.Tech admission is based on GATE score or marks in BE/ B.Tech followed by PTU counselling. MBA admission is subject to a valid score in Punjab MET and marks in Graduation. At the PG level, M.Sc, MCA, M.Pharm and B.Ed admission is offered on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination.
