The placement of the college was all good but the college only offers you placement if you not have any back in the examination. From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Microsoft was visited here and these college offers more than 1000 of offers for the students. Highest package of year 2024 was around 54 LPA. Product-based - These are the companies that hire at pretty impressive packages i.e more than 10 LPA to name a few companies which visited the CGC campus in recent year were Amazon, HP, Google, etc.

Service-based - These are the companies (mass recruiters) that hire in bulk offering packages about 3–4 LPA.

CGC Landran is a good institute and is marked with an excellent placement in branches like CSE and IT, a decent faculty, and good enough campus life. Here’s a brief highlight of CGC Landran, based on what I heard about the institute from my friends at the institute.

There are some excellent professors, some average and mostly good enough professors in the faculty of the institute. Most professors are very humble and help the students in educational, research, and other purposes too.
The campus of CGC Landran is large. There are separate blocks for every branch inside the campus. Grounds for Cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, badminton, etc, are also available inside the campus.
CGC Landran is one of the best colleges in terms of placement under PTU. Most MNCs visit the campus for placement. Students are offered jobs according to their own capabilities, and with a good average placement package. The highest package offered in CGC is also very good and is seen to increase with consecutive years.

Both Chitkara and CGC Landran are at the same level. As far as placements are concerned, both of them offer excellent placements with well-developed placement cells.

UPES is definitely more concentrated on petroleum and chemical engineering. It also has some unique courses and a really good reputation and you will get to learn a lot. Fees might be a little expensive though.

My advice to you would be to not choose electronics and communication engineering at either of them because placements are not that great and you don’t want to end up with CSE students and learn coding in the last few months of your college.
