For Mba, the only eligibility is to have a bachelor degree and good score in cat or cmat. I gave cmat and got 94 percentile. In CAT anything above 80 percentile would work. Just need to crack the PI. We have a lot of quizzes in every semester along with mid term and end term. The difficulty level depends on the faculties and the level of understanding of that subject. For engineers, the statistical subjects were easier but they struggled a bit with accounting initially.
Initially, applicants need to have a cat score greater than the 80 percentile. Then they need to apply through the college website and they will get GD/PI call if they are shortlisted. Once they clear the GD/PI process they will get admission. The overall process was smooth and hassle-free.
I applied for Wellingker, MDI Murshidabad, IMT & IMI. The reason for not attending those colleges was that IFMR was the best option for me among all. The admission process was smooth and well-coordinated. It happened over a zoom call. The criteria for shortlisting were CAT/CMAT scores. The weightage was divided for academics, CAT/CMAT score, and Personal interview.
My course fees is 1 lakh 60 thousand per annum, and yes its worth it because the college tries best of their knowledge to make us understand about the course. The college have Worldwide students from different countries (like America, African, Russian etc).
IFMR GSB is renowned for it's pedagogy and faculties. There education system and course is as per the demand in the industries. Besides this MBA college is measured by it's placement records and IFMR GSB is having good record in comparison to other colleges of same level and tier.
Ifmr was established way back in the 1970s and because of that, it is very much famous in Finance field. It is one of the reputed colleges in the Finance Field. Adding to that a good infrastructure, Course curriculum, Experts as Faculties and easy accessible basic necessities. I liked the faculties, curriculum, and placements about ifmr, I chose Finance and marketing as subjects during my mba course.
After filling the form and fulfilling the criteria for entrance exam cutoff and past academics we were shortlisted for the WAT-PI process. Then We had WAT process followed by an Interview for final admission selection.
Mine 2 years at this campus were the most memorable experience of my life. Had satisfaction both on career and personal development.

The actual cutoff at which you can secure your seat at these institutes is as follows:
IFMR CMAT cutoff varies each year, depending on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. Based on past trends, CMAT cutoff for IFMR has been around 80-85 percentile in recent years.
It's important to note that the cutoff is not the only factor considered in the admission process. Other factors such as academic record, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities, and performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds also play a crucial role in the final selection.
While the CMAT cutoff is a significant factor in the admission process, it's not the only one. So, if you're planning to apply to IFMR, it's recommended that you aim for a score higher than the cutoff to increase your chances of getting selected.
