NIA Pune Important Dates 2026

NIA Pune offers admission to PGDM through CAT 2025 or XAT 2026, or CMAT 2026 entrance exams. 

NIA Pune Campus Facilities 

National Insurance Academy is spread over a 32-acre campus in the city of Pune on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway, with greenery all around, providing an unmatched ambience along with high safety and security for the students. The institute has 10 Air-Conditioned lecture halls equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Six of these classrooms are dedicated to PGDM Students. In addition, there are 8 syndicate rooms to facilitate group discussions, case studies, presentations and deliberations. Separate reading rooms are also available for the use of the students. Some other facilities of NIA Pune are listed below:

Convention Centre: NIA has a best-in-class auditorium with a seating capacity of 220, with an excellent audiovisual system.

Library: The institute has one of the few libraries in India having the choicest collection of books in life Insurance, non-life insurance and management areas. The reading room of this library is equipped with almost all national and international journals in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Pensions and related areas, including journals for general awareness and entertainment. A variety of research publications add further value to this already rich knowledge bank.

Computer Facilities: NIA has a Windows-based LAN, connected to State-of-the-art terminals spread all over the establishment. The Academy has an IT park classroom for IT training. Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus.

Insurance Labs: The academy fosters a unique concept known as Insurance Labs. There are a motor lab, marine lab and health lab for the students to get practical knowledge on related general insurance subjects.

Hostel: The student’s hostel “Sarvapalli” has fully furnished, spacious rooms. The hostels are separate for male and female students. It has 24 hours of uninterrupted power and water supply. Round-the-clock security is provided in the hostel and the rest of the campus. There is also an Internet facility with Wi-Fi connectivity for the students in the rooms. No Hostel allotment to Pune-based students.

Grievance Redressal Committee & Anti-Ragging Committee: The Academy is fully compliant with the regulations about “Establishment of Mechanism for Grievance Redressal Regulations, 2012 of AICTE & the Internal Complaint Committee. NIA follows anti-ragging regulations as per AICTE norms.

Health Care: There is a clinic where a doctor visits regularly and is also available on call. In addition, students have the benefit of Mediclaim and personal accident cover up to a specified amount under a group policy during the duration of the course.

Sports and Recreation: The multipurpose sporting complex has facilities for badminton, table tennis, billiards, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi. There is a swimming pool in the sports complex. There is also an open ground for playing cricket, football and basketball.

Yoga & Meditation Hall: The institute has a separate Yoga and Meditation Centre on campus for the students.

Jogging Track and GIC Pathway: The 1.5 km jogging track encircling the campus is a wonderful way to breathe fresh air and hear the chirping of the birds. The GIC Pathway, close to the sporting complex, is a water-fed pathway with gravel

for acupressure therapy.

Banking and Postal Services: A branch of Bank of Maharashtra and a Post Office are located near the main gate of the campus for banking (Forex services also available) and postal needs, including an ATM facility.

The officials, including faculty working at NIA, live on the campus. Many festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm by the families of campus residents, including children, where the students also participate wholeheartedly. All cultural programmes involve all the residents of the campus, students & MDP participants.
