Goenka college is truly heaven of education.

Likes

Faculty is pretty experienced and always ready to help students.
Extremely low fees. Within 4k you get graduated from a reputed college.
High quality fests. Definitely one of the best!

Dislikes

Methods of teaching may be modernized. Sometimes the class becomes sleepy.
Canteen is abandoned since lockdown. Students need to go out.
Campus is pretty small. Lack of playground.

Our placement cell is pretty much active. Last year it went up to 18 LPA. Though the majority of them are pursuing professional courses, they opt for higher studies. But still, the ones who appear for placement get a decent package. Various companies visit our college like byjus, EY.

The placements are appreciable. From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the prominent companies are Deloitte, Infosys, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is not much high not less.

Goenka: Heaven of education

Likes

Experienced and professional facilities.
No bullying or ragging by anyone. Friendly and helpul seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected this course because I want to make a career in finance and this course teaches the required curriculum for the same. Goenka has experienced and professional faculties. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:80. In the curriculum, one internal assessment and semester-end examinations are conducted in every semester.

Orientation towards study as the students are quite studies and the teacher also love to teach so it creates a healthy atmosphere.
The library is very much helpful for the students how can not buy books
Different seminar and career counseling functions which helps to promote different fields additional helps to choose a perfect career.

Dislikes

Most of the time library has shortage of books.
Promotion of sports or other curriculum activities are less
Internal exams are too tough along with the ambiguous syallabus which is not well defined.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, few internships are offered. But if students are looking for placements then they need to wait till the competition of their 6 semester. Then different companies will come for the campus placements. I am going to the grade college so quite renowned companies are coming there for choosing eligible candidates.

Honest Review of GCC & BA

Likes

Faculty is very humble and polite.They are always ready to help.
Students are very intelligent and friendly which creates good studying environment.

Dislikes

Campus is small. There is no outdoor sports.
Librarian in the reading section is very rude.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose b.com(H) as I had developed some interest in the accounting and finance sector. For that, I consider b.com(h) to have a good syllabus. All Faculty have a good experience in their field and they are very humble and polite. The only problem with them is they use a regional language that is Bengali most of the time

Why you should definitely join GOENKA COLLEGE OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The biggest con of this college is it's fee structure which is damn low
The fest organised namely "QUEST" is the best compared to other colleges. Attend it to agree!!
Teachers keep you updated about various events and internships.You can build your personality on a high note by grabbing those opportunities.

Dislikes

Campus is too small. Shuru hote hi khatam ho jata hai, anyways as mentioned earlier, your company will decide your campus life. With good companion no campus is small enough.
Teaching style needs to modernized. The professors are highly experienced and skillful, however sometimes we feel a lack of connection between us.
Facilities of library can be improved. The librarian of the reading section is rude , doesn't allow anyone to sit.

Placement Experience:

Very few students opt for placements as maximum of them continue with professional courses. But last year the highest package was 18LPA. Also recently THE INDIAN ARMY was in discussion to conduct an orientation in college to hire students for a post of an accountant in the Army.

Books, fun and thrill

Likes

The first and foremost is it's atmosphere. You'll meet very talented and brilliant students around you which will ultimately help you improving your personality as well
My dance team has my heart. We have dance groups in our college and everyone in that team are ingenious.
Last but not the least, teachers ofcourse. Few teachers and their style of teaching is really commendable.

Dislikes

There is nothing about the college I dislike but few people 😬

Placement Experience:

From semester 6, students become eligible for campus placements. All the Big 4 companies visit our campus and many students got placed in E&Y and Deloitte. The highest package offered was 18lpa and the average package is 3.5lpa. I'll appear for the interview next year. Hope for the best.

Teaching and learning process of the college.

Attendance is a mandatory thing in this college.

Placement Experience:

The College has a well-developed Placement cell which takes care of the placement of the students. In the last 3 years, around 90 students got placed in reputed corporate houses. With a view to preparing the students for the job market, the College maintains a Guidance and Counselling Cell. Around 300 students got the benefit of this cell during the last 3 years.

Simpliciyy of the college. The fees is very nominal making it highly affordable for all.

Dislikes

Teaching style of most of the teachers .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took commerce in class 11 so took bcom honors so that I can parallelly do CA. Few of the faculty teachers' stations for internals although there good and the others were average. Classes are not held regularly. Qualification of the faculties was good but the teaching style was not. Term exams were held regularly but they chose difficult queey taught less.

Faculty members are helpful. You can ask them any worries anytime
Ambience Is too good. Classroom is very neat and clean
Study material and the Library facilities

Dislikes

Canteen food is not upto the mark. Proper action should be taken.
Washroom should be more hygienic. Health concern of the students are attached to it.
Placement cell should be more active in order to provide wider scope.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have the affiliation to opt for a commerce course. student: faculty ratio is 15:50approx. They all have completed their PhD degree. The teaching method is helpful they provide timely notes. Any student who studies can easily pass the test and ace the exam. We are really blessed to get admission into such a college.
