Pretty good college if you are looking for government and affordable college

Likes

The cost of the course is very cheap and affordable for anyone.
There is no ragging in this college and friendly environment .

Dislikes

Campus of the college is vey small there is hardly any place to play or do any stuff.
Most of the time washrooms are dirty and very stinky.

Placement Experience:

Placement package of this college is very low or average, but it is good that they are providing placement for the course like b.com . Most of the students of this college don't study for the placement from the college there preparing for other jobs or higher studies from the beginning of the college year.

Knowing goenka inside out

Likes

The fee structure and our teachers are very friendly
The campus is quite nice with fooding and location of the college is also very prominent
The events and the social is also very awesome you'll get the enjoyment

Dislikes

Attendance criteria is very strict and rigid
The teachers sometimes don't come absent classes wastage of travelling
Tiring experience after a whole day of college

Internships Opportunities:

College provides internship from different banks and other financial institutions or tax firms. College have good tie-up with alot of firms so here enough practical experience you'll get but you need to have own efforts to learn.

Goenka college is no doubt the best college , but the most shocking thing is the respect you get after becoming a Goenkan
Big companies come in goenka for placement, many of our seniors got placed from the college campus it self , avg package is 4 LPA and above
Teaching faculty is top notch in goenka , all the teachers are of highly qualified, many of them are state topers too

Dislikes

Campus is very small , there is no canteen , only a small outlet of Nescafe is there , common room is very small

Internships Opportunities:

Currently, I am not eligible for internship opportunities as I am not in my final year yet but from my seniors, I have heard big companies like Deloitte, Tata etc have openly visited the college for campus placement and many of the students got internships as well as job opportunities from renowned companies.

Review for GCCBA in the best way possible

I liked the campus placement facility of the college. Many of friends having 7.5+ CGPA got placement in Ernt and Young offering a annual package of 1000000 per annum. This facility enabled us to work hard for the semesters.
I like the event management facility of the college. We were also given the opportunity to help our seniors in managing fests and cultural functions.
There were more than 3 teachers for a single subject providing us a wide view of the subject. They are highly qualified.

Dislikes

I was little disheartened with the union of our college as they interfered in various disciplines at our curriculum.
Our college did not have a canteen. Although we had various kinds of food outside our college but we did not have a in campus food canteen. It's great that they were constructing canteen after we left out college in 2022.
The SC and ST were given more advantage than general community. Hence we felt little underprivileged.

Internships Opportunities:

Internshala offered internship to us at a stipend of INR 8000 per month. The role offered consisted of a financial role where we need to create content in writing for their website. The outcome was that it shaped our writing skill.

The campus is very small and u cant enjoy .

Internships are not much provided u have to look for ur own self .nor do teachers guide u ..u have to search on your own.whuch is a dufficult task for most of student.and most difficult for first year to do this

In my experience

Likes

It's the most prestigious govt college for commerce in west bengal it was also in top 20 list of best commerce college in some year
The campus is small but the environment is pretty good, well defined classroom and the faculties are top notch
And the best thing is it's a government college and the course fee is generally below 10k in whole 3 year course,

Dislikes

It got a small campus and the environment outside the college is full of chaos because of traffic and also it lies near a market

Internships Opportunities:

As I don't know much about internship in our college, but it's a basically about the placement and where you got the placement one of my friend got chance in TCS where he got 2.5 lpa as a fresher which is quite okay to say..

The teaching staff is really good with high qualifications. They are very cooperative and supportive.

Dislikes

The overall experience of campus life is really poor in terms of extracirrcular activities, sports, functions etc.

I haven't applied for any internships from college yet. But there are number of opportunities for students in Goenka College of Commerce. Many internship programmes are sent by teachers in WhatsApp groups.

A good option for b.com

Placement Experience:

At my time reputed companies like Ernst and young, and DE Shaw came for campus selection. Where Ernst and young was offering around 3.5 to 4 lpa, DE Shaw offered 10. Both the companies had their own requirements and onboarded students accordingly. To be honest there are not ample opportunities since most of students themselves opt out for they are pursuing CA CS OR CMA courses. Or want to go for higher education.
