TSEC Mumbai: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 5 Reviews

The college offers a structured admission process, requiring separate forms for each college and a CAP round form managed by the DTE board. Admission is based on a 50% split between board marks and JEE Mains scores, with a week to confirm allocations. Sindhi minority students have easier admission access, and diploma holders can directly enter the second year. The faculty is highly qualified, focusing on conceptual understanding and providing ample revision time before exams.

The EXT C department is notably well-regarded. The fee structure is feasible compared to other institutions, with first-year fees at approximately Rs. 1,70,000, and subsequent years ranging from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 59,000 annually. Despite relatively high costs, the college offers diverse academic and extracurricular activities. A tuition fee waiver scheme is available for eligible students. TSEC boasts a strong placement record, featuring prominent companies like JP Morgan, Deloitte, and Accenture, with an average annual package of 4 lakhs, reaching up to 40 lakhs.

The college's placement focus is primarily on IT companies, although core electronics opportunities are less frequent. Scholarships for high academic achievers and economically backward students are available, including the EBC scholarship for Maratha students and general EBC for others with reduced tuition fees. Additionally, the college provides support through insurance and facilitates access to external scholarships from organizations like Tata.
