Remarks

TSEC is unique in its culture, being very different from a typical stereotypical engineering college. the teachers are helpful. seniors make you feel home with a lot of cultural and technical events. assignments are not as strict as in other colleges.

Entrance Preview

MHTCET scored 85 wasnt planning on staying in Mumbai because was focused on JEE and not Maharashtra board. I only filled the offline form of this particular college because it was a grade 'A' college under MU.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is interesting. The college has a unique social system. and Teachers encourage it. the curriculum is designed to encourage students to actively take part in extra curriculum and college festivals are organised too often. The working though seems too theory based rather than practical but the college is not to be blamed rather the university is!

Internships Opportunities

I am not aware about if my college provides internship, but all my seniors happen to seem like are indulged in some kind of internships at all points.

Placement Experience

3.5

For most the branches job opportunities seem to be good, though being in first year and not really basing my college preference on campus placement my knowledge here is limited. though being a 'A' grade college it is likely to have good opportunities.

College Events

5

As stated before, the college encourages students to participate on extra curriculum. The college have number of student committees all having different personalities and hence covering all sorts of events. from cultural to technical. and a sense of competition between committees is clearly visible hence creating a pressure on the committee members to work harder. we have one official annual festival where all teachers participate and other committee festivals all year round with certain teachers incharge of certain committees but majorly run by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is not very different from most colleges in Mumbai, following the same approximate fees and an annual pattern of payment for 4 years. the fees structure is feasible and the fees is not needed to be payed in one go for all 4 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college provided us with insurance stating is something happens to the earning member of the family fees for later semester would be declared void.

Campus Life

2.5

Being an engineering college, the gender ratio is surprisingly balanced. considering the college only offers engineering course, diversity in students is maintained with not only focusing on academics but rather on extra curriculum too. students get to choose from a variety of committees to be a part of. being into debating, our college's literature student committee is wonderful. they not only host MUNs but also notify us about MUNs hosted by other colleges across the city!

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is no hostel or mess facilities available within the college campus or affiliated to the college campus. out-station students are needed to take care of their living on their own. all my classmates from outside the city stay in other private hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

TSEC offers a unique and amazing social structure. seniors are really helpful and are always ready to help you out even by going out of their way to do so. the whole college somehow seems like a family. everyone knows everyone. the social network is really good, somewhat a result of the student committee system of the college!

Exam Structure

The exam structure is one the those areas I think the college really need some changes to do. It feels like you are way too free for the first 2 months of the semester with all sorts of cultural festivals and then all of a sudden 2 exams, assignment, lab work without leaving much time for finals, follows! maybe it is the price paid for managing slots for college festivals.

Admission

scoring less in CET, I didnt get my desired stream of Electronics and Telecom, instead got bio-medicals, as its core subjects were related to electronics I agreed on opting for bio med in last institution round. got a lucky upgrade at the last moment as after the admission processes were over couple of students left the college and the vacancy of couple seats got me an opportunity.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college, I would say is one of the best thing about the college! unlike the horror stories we hear about college profs removing their frustration on students the teacher here are ready to help with all assignments and submission work. teacher encourage students to take part in extra curriculum. I personally took part in a tech-fest and ,my teachers encouraged me and did not create any problems related to accepting my work, infact accepted my late submitted file which I think is a kind of wonderful support. teachers also provide handwritten and self made notes exclusively for our college students covering all board questions with answers to them, which I think is a good initiative and symbolizes that teachers actually care about the students.

Actually i have decided to only go for computer science but as my entrance exam score was not that much good. So i decided to go for ai&ds branch as it have much scope than cse. Ai&ds syllabus is very much similar to cse branch so not that much difference. Some practical practice need to be improved in place of learning theory.
