The curriculum is relevant in this current scenario but at the same time I also think that some subjects are not needed for a computer science and engineering student. For example the first year students learn basics of all departments. Basics of mechanical engineering is not really needed for a software engineer.

The Campus provide a placement for the students and the placement percentage of the college is 60%. All the main core companies for all the branches will visit the campus and will intake students based on their performance. The placements for CSE and IT branch are more in the college.

From semester 7 you are eligible for campus placements. A lot of multinational companies come to this college and the top one is UST. You get a decent package from this company. Trenser comes here and also offer placements the package is decent.

Placement drive in our college will work efficiently for the students. They will train the students for aptitude tests and technical tests. A faculty will be in charge of the placement cell. He will coordinate all programs like classes, orientation program

The course I choose computer science engineering lit bit tough to me because of I have no background to computer science .The frequency and timing of exam along with my perspective on their difficulty. The vaccancy of jobs influence me to get the course
Placements start from the 6th semester. There are some companies that don't take a student who has backpackers. The companies that are coming here are TCS, Infosys, 6D Technologies, IBM, Wipro, etc. Around 50% of students get placed every year. Basic salary packages lie between 3 to 4 Lacs per annum.
I chose Computer Science because I was passionate about problem-solving. finding new solutions for the problems. the faculty-student ratio is almost 1:15. as it is a government college, all the faculties are highly qualified, and government appointments are. term exams for Btech in Mahatma Gandhi university are conducted on time, there were no delays between the exam and the next semester .all exams were completed before the start of the next semester.
From semester 6 or 7, students can attend campus placements. When I was in last year, we had campus placements of Infosys, Wipro, TCS, 6D, QBurst, UST Global etc... In total 65 students were placed from the entire batch of 2012-16 students. The highest package provided was 4,50000 CTC. Average packages were 2,50000 CTC. 20-25 % of students were placed in that year. The important thing was, campus placement in our college started in my last year of study only. My plan was to get a job only. I got placed in Infosys.
From 6th-semester students can attend placements but some companies do not take the students with back papers. companies like TCS Infosys are companies which come for the placement. about 40% of our students get into campus placement,40% will get placed for the private placement done by the companies, and the rest 20% goes to higher studies. am planning to go for higher studies after my bachelor's degree completion.
1) it was a Government engineering College (No Fee)2)The college situated in Idukki3) The climate in idukki4) The natural beauty of Idukki5) Lot of tourist places near by6) The temperature in my College place was always between 8-25 which is a factor for me to join7) It's not a peaceful place8) Can do lot of activities in weekends (Trekking, Swimming from Water falls,etc)9)The disadvantages are to go to home i need to travel alot.Idukki to cochin will be very fun ride because we go through a forest area. But after that it's very bad experience10) Another disadvantage is we don't get a town experience in there
