Remarks
I only applied for government colleges, and I had reservations about the Vishwakarma quota. I give preference for computer science and information technology courses. for admission, we just had to fill the application when the application portal opens. the application was so simple anyone could do it through a laptop. For applying for these engineering courses we should first attend the KEAM entrance exam and the criteria for the exam is one should get a 75% mark in physics, chemistry, and mathematics separately. The age limit for applying will be given on the CEE Kerala site against the respective year. the applications will be accepted per the rank of the KEAM exam and their marks in plus two. The results of the application are published in 3 allotments and after the publishing of the last allotment, colleges will individually conduct spot allotment to fill the empty seats in the college. in case if you didn't get through the last allotment you could attend the spot admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always wanted to take computer science or information technology for my bachelor's degree. so I give preference to these two courses while I applied for engineering though our college is a government college there is always enough staff in our college. even if they're a lack of teacher the government will appoint temporary staff. most of our teachers have done their master's degree in IITs, and most of them are doing their PhDs at foreign universities. all of them have special kinds of technics to teach the students effectively. even in this pandemic situation, all the classes are giving really great. our syllabus is a bit difficult trough. but you can crack every exam with a bit of hard work though.
Placement Experience
From 6th-semester students can attend placements but some companies do not take the students with back papers. companies like TCS Infosys are companies which come for the placement. about 40% of our students get into campus placement,40% will get placed for the private placement done by the companies, and the rest 20% goes to higher studies. am planning to go for higher studies after my bachelor's degree completion.
Fees and Financial Aid
we don't have a large fee structure, because we are a government college the only fees we pay is the exam fee and a small semester fee. we do have some scholarships like Egrantz etc the students with no back papers will get scholarships
Campus Life
Our college is known for our cultural events and our tech fest. our tech fest is probably in February / March. we do celebrate women's day sports arts fest grandly. we have a great library with pretty much all the reference books which cover our syllabus. we do have spacious classrooms laboratories and seminar halls for each department. and there is a small library for each department run by the department which includes only the books about the topics in each department. our college has a great football team also. political parties run by the students are also very active on our campus. we do have a lot of clubs like music, drawing. photography, fashion, business, coding, film, etc. and we have technical cells like IEEE, techno ship cell, foss cell, placement cell. and social groups like NSS etc. expect our colleges' official website all the other websites are made and run by students.
Hostel Facilities
There are 2 ladies hostels inside the campus. and there 2 men's hostels outside the campus. all the rooms are very spacious and there will be 4 inmates in a room. the menu is also good. there are 4 meals a day. The hostel fee is 200 rupees for a month. the food will cost us about 1500 rs a month and for that money that food is so good. there are 4 private ladies' hotels just outside the campus. teaches courses are also near our hostel and some teaches also live with us in the hostel.
