Government engineering College Idukki

Curriculum is complex because we don't get enough time to study.We have to do internshipa to maintain our academics.Curriculam is based on credits and internals.Practical sessions provide real world applications.

3rd and 4th year students are available for placements.On campus placements are poor because our college is not in city side most of the placement is through outcampus.LandT, QBurst and ibm are the major recruiting companies.highest package is 8 lakh and Lowest is 2 lakh.Around 40 percentage students will be placed in each year

Tutions fees will be 9560 per each year.for caution, Admission, registration and lab fees we have to pay around 20000 during admission time.1200rs to be paid to placement cell.Fees concessions are available for sc,st and oec students.various scholarships are available for students,famous is egrantz.OBC and general students income must be lower than 1 lakh otherwise they are not eligible for egrantz.Sc,st,oec students don't have any eligible criteria for egrantz.Around 15000 rs per year is egrntz scholarship amount.Various scholarships are available some of them are reliance foundation and sitaramjindal scholarship

Campus Life is not bad.Compairing with other gov engineering colleges.our college don't have so many arts and sports festivals.Accesibily of books and technologies are good.Well occupied libraries are present in each department.There is so many clubs like space club,IEEE and ISTE

Hostel facilities are good government hostel is available for girls.Girls hostel is inside the campus.Boys hostel is km away from college.College buses are available.Lunch is bad.Hostel is affordable.There is alot pg for students

Admission process is done through KEAM entrance exam.Average rank holders will get seat in this college.I choose RIT,GEC Thrissur over this college but I didn't get because of my rank.But college is good and calm.Faculties are good.Arts and sports are available.To get admission in CS is really hard

As a government engineering College.Faculties are highly qualified.Most of the teachers have PhD.Each class has atleast 2 class advisors for controlling.faculty and student relationships are healthy.They give enough freedom.Evrey 6 months there is semester exam and 2 series exam is conducted before semester exam.Lab exams are also available.Most of the exams are difficult.30% students fail in every year.This curriculum is hard but help us to maintain our vision to a better engineer

Our college is situated in a tourist place so students will got to various places for hangout.Night life is calm and happy.Girls must have to enter before 9.30 to hostel.No gym for us.Canteen is present.Idukki dam, cheruthoni dam and hill view parts are the major destination from here
