• Step 1: Visit the official website iimcat.ac.in and click on New Candidate Registration.
• Step 2: Enter your name, date of birth, email, mobile number, and nationality.
• Step 3: Verify your email and set a password to activate your account.

• Step 5: Upload your scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• Step 6: Select up to 5 preferred test cities in order of preference.

CAT 2026 Registration Eligibility Criteria

The following CAT 2026 registration eligibility criteria are based on the past years’ trends:

• You need a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
• Final-year students are eligible, subject to completing their degree before admission.
• There is no upper age limit.
• There is no limit on the number of attempts.

According to a Reddit post, a user wanted to know the eligibility criteria for CAT 2026 and also if a year gap in academics matters for admission to top B-schools.
