Google Maps and WhatsApp groups are the main places I used to find accommodation. We faced issues contacting leasing management of apartments in the US from India, but other than that we didn't face any other problems. Choose places where Indians stay, as they offer a lower amount compared to on-campus accommodations.

The facilities like buses are free, special health insurance for grad Students(12 usd /month only)
Well equipped labs.
Good funding for research.

Dislikes

Hard to get on campus housing.
Fellowship amounts are a bit less.
Less increment in Fellowship for grad students.

Scholarship

Yes every Graduate student gets TA or RA assistantship. That's worth $27500 per year. And also your $30000 tuition fees is also waived. We only have to pay that student fees of $1400.
But you have to maintain a GPA of 3.25 to get this scholarship.
Other than this there also some fellowship but only few students get those.
For masters student and ug students there is also some scholarships which will be around $20000 but for that you need to have good GPA. And there are also part time jobs available for the students.

We found our accommodation by asking seniors who came here before us.
Our monthly rent is 550 including utilities for a 4 × 4 shared apartment.
Ac, washing machine, heater, dryer, kitchen appliance, gaming room, swimming pool, parking area are included.
Stoneridge apartments, BLVD, Lexington crossing this are good option for Indian students as most of the Indians stay there.
It take 20 min by bus to go to University from our apartment.

University of florida is a good academic school but has location disadvantage.

Good Reputation.
The professor here are good with lots of research opportunity available.
The campus is very big and have good student life.

Dislikes

The location is very bad when it comes to opportunity in tech industry.
Very far away from major tech hub.
Some semester have less option for course selection in AI/ML.

The majority of international and postgraduate students stay off campus as it is cheaper compared to on-campus. The challenge is to find a good roommate. Other than that, there is no challenge, as getting accommodation here is very easy, and there are lots of options to choose from. The recommendation is to choose from accommodation which has many Indian students living nearby.

Scholarship

Bright futures, based on tuition and $1,000 from Brandon Regional Hospital.

It’s ranking and opportunities, as well as affordability and location I would say academically I haven’t done as well as I’ve hoped, but my GPA and grades are still decent. The social scene is an 8.5/10, as I’ve made lots of friends and have good involvement outside of class.

Likes

Lets start with the cost of tution. It is one of the most budget college you will ever get in US. The cost of living is also very cheap if you opt for off campus housing. They have really good sports complexes to play and and many communities like chess etc. You can opt for any services for free like Yoga, Dance, or any other instructor based service.
As mentioned before it is cost effective, weather is good, and the ranking is top 50 in CS.

Dislikes

Its a common issue among all the colleges and universities in the USA, that there is no placement cell as we find in Indian colleges, hence students have to grind for jobs on their own. Apart from that there is not much to dislike about.

Scholarship

4,500$ Total.

Its a good experience as long as you take benefit of the services offered to you as a student. If you are paying such hefty amount make sure you extract every dollar out of it by honestly studying and making the best out of it.

"As I took a step forward in my career trajectory, I was passionate about VLSI. Through my course curriculum, online certifications, and practical experiences, I have learned that digital VLSI design is my future. I wanted to undertook research in this area and contribute to the sphere of innovation. However, to have my aspirations take flight, my existing knowledge needed a boost. For the same, I found a masters program in computer engineering to be aligning ideally with my interests. Housed by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Florida, this program focuses on the design, analysis, and application of computers and their components. Amalgamating theory and practice, this program offers a comprehensive understanding of VLSI design, which proved to be instrumental in paving a sound career path . Having gone through the university profile, I wished to pursue my interest on VLSI design which aligns well with the goal of the master’s program. I was certain that attaining learning under such a stellar faculty will not to be insightful but will also prepare me for my future endeavors."

Dislikes

There are few things which i personally did not like about this university. Firstly, It is the location where the university is situated i.e gainesville area. There is not much to do here in gainesville apart from the university area so sometimes it becomes monotonous to be there. Also, the food, specially the indian cuisine is a bit expensive there as compared to other states. Secondly, the weather conditions are extreme mainly during summer its unbearable. Thirdly, i did not like the grading system at UF.

Scholarship

Yes, I attained a scholarship for having commendable record at my undergrad university in ECE stream. They provided a scholarship of 4500$. There was no separate form for that.

My overall experience at UF was good. It was a great opportunity to pursue my master's program abroad as it not only helped me in gaining academics knowledge but also to understand and interact with people from different places and background.

Yes, I received the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Achievement Award Scholarship for ONCAMPUS, NON-FLORIDA RESIDENT New Engineering Graduate Students.

I was quite sure about the features I wanted in the program I wanted to apply for. The University of Florida piqued my interest because it had excellent research work being conducted in the field I was most interested in. It is of course a prestigious university while still being economic. It has very good connections with NASA as well which provides exceptional work and internship opportunities to students.

No, I have not received any scholarship opportunities. I have applied for quite a few but have not been chosen, unfortunately.

It is the best college in my state for the program that I am getting my degree in. I have always wanted to go to UF and decided at a very early age that it would be my first pick school. I also knew there wouldn't be a chance I could go out of state.
