  • Most of the people secured jobs within 6 months of graduation. I would say 90% of people secured jobs within 6 months of graduation.
  • The average salary would be around 120k-130k per year for computer science students. Some students were able secure mid level roles with their experience in India which pays even higher, upto 200k.

  • Google Maps and WhatsApp groups are the main places I used to find accommodation. We faced issues contacting leasing management of apartments in the US from India, but other than that we didn't face any other problems. Choose places where Indians stay, as they offer a lower amount compared to on-campus accommodations.

  • Almost every student gets job within 6 month of their graduation.
  • The average salary for the students can be around $80k to $150k depending on the field of work.
  • Usually students get job through campus placement or through the recommendation of professors.
  • For chemistry all the major pharma and chemical industry company hires the students after their graduation.

  • We found our accommodation by asking seniors who came here before us.
  • Our monthly rent is 550 including utilities for a 4 × 4 shared apartment.
  • Ac, washing machine, heater, dryer, kitchen appliance, gaming room, swimming pool, parking area are included.
  • Stoneridge apartments, BLVD, Lexington crossing this are good option for Indian students as most of the Indians stay there.
  • It  take 20 min by bus to go to University from our apartment.

  • Securing a full-time job currently is very very difficult due to the current job market situation and many students are unable to secure jobs for at least a couple of months after graduation. However, I have seen people getting jobs if they are consistent enough. The advice is to secure internships which makes it easier to secure a full-time job.

  • The majority of international and postgraduate students stay off campus as it is cheaper compared to on-campus. The challenge is to find a good roommate. Other than that, there is no challenge, as getting accommodation here is very easy, and there are lots of options to choose from. The recommendation is to choose from accommodation which has many Indian students living nearby.

From what I've heard they are pretty good. The school is a research school like many in the state so it’s not that hard to find a place

It’s ranking and opportunities, as well as affordability and location I would say academically I haven’t done as well as I’ve hoped, but my GPA and grades are still decent. The social scene is an 8.5/10, as I’ve made lots of friends and have good involvement outside of class.

Salaries cannot be given out since we need to literally ask students, there is no placement reports, it all depends on the student if he can crack it. There are students who got into FAANG there are students who went back home.

Its a good experience as long as you take benefit of the services offered to you as a student. If you are paying such hefty amount make sure you extract every dollar out of it by honestly studying and making the best out of it.

There is no on campus placement as such at UF. You have career fairs at the beginning of semester where you can find a lot of companies offering internships/full time for Computer science, Electrical, IT, etc branches. Most of the companies do not provide H1-B work visa so the options are a bit limited for students. The avg salary offered to ECE students is around 75000-80000$ pa.

My overall experience at UF was good. It was a great opportunity to pursue my master's program abroad as it not only helped me in gaining academics knowledge but also to understand and interact with people from different places and background.

According to my research, most students get placed right after college in good companies. Since the university is primarily research-centric, research opportunities are available in abundance. Major companies that recruit from UF MAE are Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Boeing, etc. NASA too directly recruits students for research from the department. Overall the opportunities are more than enough for anyone who is willing to put in the effort.

I was quite sure about the features I wanted in the program I wanted to apply for. The University of Florida piqued my interest because it had excellent research work being conducted in the field I was most interested in. It is of course a prestigious university while still being economic. It has very good connections with NASA as well which provides exceptional work and internship opportunities to students.

Most students are placed in top companies. Everyone has to apply online and get the call. Career fairs are of no to little use. University location is also a disadvantage.

Low tuition among universities with the same level of research and high reputation. I wanted to get into this university for more exposure and better facilities.

The job opportunities seem plentiful and the university works hard to make the transition to the workforce and easy one. They do a great job with the internships they offer.

It is the best college in my state for the program that I am getting my degree in. I have always wanted to go to UF and decided at a very early age that it would be my first pick school. I also knew there wouldn't be a chance I could go out of state.
