- The university is known for Systems and Data courses, It is more research focused and has great faculty. There was a better change to get RA/TA.
Dislikes
- They have a poor job placement efforts for students. Not much help is delivered and one is left on their own for this.
Overview
The University is great overall. Great faculty and courses. Part-time work is plenty and TA/RA opportunities are better.
Campus Life
The facilities are great and top notch. You get laptops from the library on lease for free. Amazing student centres, with pool, indoor games, badminton, etc. Huge campus on the hill with a great view of the Rocky Mountains.
Likes
- I chose it because it’s close to home and it’s a tier one research institution.
Overview
My college experience has been amazing because of the staff and campus resources.
Campus Life
There are so many clubs and activities for students to do. They have something for everyone no matter what your interested in.
Overview
Nice city, good ranking, decent department, comparatively cheaper city than California or New York and supportive administrative staff.
Overview
The location was ideal given that the campus is within Salt Lake City, but remains separate from the city, which allows for a 'college campus feel' of living rather than city living. It is also close to the number of our outdoor sites.
Fees
Student Fees included that for the facilities provided, such as the library and student life center.
Overview
Public transit, Affordability, Reputability. My granddad and dad went here. I learned to love the campus as a 'second home' after I came to classes with my dad when he came back for his Master's degree.
Fees
Tuition is due the 2nd week of every semester, but payment plans are available. There are several additional fees every semester, including a student involvement fee. Too many others to remember/list.
Overview
I found the faculty and courses to be interesting and there's a high chance of getting funded here. It has good research opportunities; although I did not take advantage of them.
Campus Life
There's free wifi on campus. There's an association of Indian students who organize events specifically for the Indian students and offer a lot of help to new students coming in. The university has a decent number of general events as well throughout the year for those who're interested.
Overview
It's a highly ranked university in the entire US, and the school of computing has some renowned professors as well as facilities to nurture the students according to the current industry needs. Also, the location is really picturesque with all the mountains & natural resources.
Campus Life
The campus has a lot of events, lot of involvement opportunities which comes along. And the greenery is an inevitable part of our campus.
Overview
Liked the professors working in my area of interest (algebraic geometry at the time) and talked to the PhD students who were studying there at the time, and got a good vibe from that.
Campus Life
I stayed off campus, but they have something going on every week; the library is insanely huge and has every book you would ever need, WiFi everywhere on campus
