Campus Life
- There are 2 campuses – north and south. We were mostly in South campus which houses the engineering department. North campus has the medical department and also a hospital. There are quite a few festivals like Halloween, Diwali and Holi. There are a lot of social events at a smaller level too.
- I was part of a technical group.
- There were dj nights , pizza parties, hackathons and other events. Some events were sponsored by companies like bank of America, Bloomberg and Amazon.
- There was a hackathon where bank of america exposed their API for us to build a business use case around it.
Fees
- I was charged $20000 per year. Most of it was a course fee. There were other charges like an annual fee, examination fee, and course fee. The fee was collected annually.
- I didn't join the hostel and stayed outside along with my friends. There is an entire area where students live. Mostly houses are 4-bedroom apartments.
- My monthly rent was $250 per person per month. Groceries cost around $50 per person per week. Bus passes were included in the fee structure. Purchasing cold winter clothes is mandatory, as Buffalo is very cold.

- 5 campuses, sports complex is really good it has olympic size swimming pool, and the recreation center has almost everything: wrestling, a gym, and badminton also they keep hosting events, so it's worth visiting. Oozefest is the most popular fest; it's more like Mudfest. The library is also really good. they also take frequent outdoor trips.

Likes
- Maintenance is good. Few subjects were good as part of my curriculum.
Dislikes
- There could have been more assistance in job search for international students or placement opportunities.
- People who took 11 months course curriculum struggle to get on campus jobs as there are very little opportunities for them.
- The fees is way to high for the value provided.
Campus Life
- I am not aware about extracurricular activities as I never had time to participate.
- On campus jobs like campus dining will be available to students who pursue 2 year program.
Fees
- fee around 38000-31 credits.

- Computer Science course Curriculum. When I was there it was studying, the course structure was different which was very good. We got to choose the course which we planned to take.
- The campus is very peaceful with a lake, sunset view.
- The university has a strong alumni network who'd like to help every new joiner.
Dislikes
- The course curriculum is very hard.
- Professors show no mercy. They don't care if you will get A grade if you score 0.2 marks more.
- We gotta work very hard for courses that are lease applied in our daily work life.
Campus Life
- UB provides plenty of facilities to support student life, like libraries—there's one library on the north campus and one on the south campus, which basically offer vast resources for research and study. students who are interested in playing sports can visit state-of-the-art facilities like the Smolinski (I think that's the name) family sport medicine centre and UB Stadium, which is the home for the Buffalo Bulls football team.
- Also, UB has 400+ student clubs and organizations, which helps students pick their interests for non-academic interests. These also include academic clubs, cultural organizations, hobby groups, and special interest councils. It's open for international students and native students as well. We are allowed to explore and join any of these groups through the UBLinked website.
Fees
-
I would say it was approximately $40,000 for international students.
- Student Activity Fee: $150 per semester (included in semester fee)
- Technology Fee: $100 per semester (included in semester fee)
- Health Insurance: $2,500 per year (included in semester fee)
- Rent (Off-campus shared apartment): $400–$600
- Utilities: $100–$150

- Transportation: $50–$100 (included in semester fee)
- Miscellaneous (phone bill, entertainment, personal items): $200–$300
- Total Estimated Monthly Expenses: Approximately $1000ish
- These figures are estimates based on my lifestyle choice I made and my housing option I took.

Dislikes
- "Not much Scholorships and grants availale for International students Even the available ones are not easy to find and apply."
Campus Life
- Campus life is amazing, we have three campus - North, South and Downtown.
- I can't even take the number of clubs available, because there are so many, some that I'm not even aware of.
- We've got 4 huge libraries with all the facilities available.(Numerous Book options, Laptop rental programs, Private study rooms, Research facilities, Recording rooms etc).
- One of the Libraries on South Campus has a infrastucture like Hogwarts (Abbott Library)
- UB is known for hosting events, on any random day, there's one or the other event going on.
- UB has amazing facilities for staying fit, UB Recreation centers(Gym), Sports clubs, Yoga classes, Dance classes, Huge Pools, Basket Ball Couts, Badminton Courts, etc)
Fees
- $34k for Tution, $30k for Housing and living per year. If you opt to live off campus, the living expense can be very less. Mine was around $10k for one year.

Likes
- I really liked the infrastructure of the college. Specially some classes of CS in fall semester will be held in NSC building, which is recently constructed with latest amenities and welcoming classrooms.
- Access to UB's own box and onedrive storage including microsoft 365 suite. Very easy to share work while working in teams. Recording demo and presentation using stream is also helpful and can be shared directly within organization.
- Very good research activities on campus where many professor has 50+ h-index for their publications. So, students can reach out to them directly if they are interested in such opportunity.
Dislikes
- Some class indirectly require attendance as a part of bonus inclass activities.
- Nearby areas will give countryside vibe, rather then city vibe. Buffalo winters are harsh and it gets frustrating some times to live in below 0 degree celcius from November to March
- Relatively less celebration of Indian festival unlike other universities, where Diwali, Holi, Navratri celebrated widely and on a large scale.
Campus Life
- 3 campuses. North, south, Downtown. North is the main campus and the largest one. All possible services are there like international students, sports, AI, entrepreneurship, library, career counselling, Entrepreneurship, writing help, language help, and mental help. AI club, UB blackstone launchpad, photography club. Student union with lots of fun activities on a regular basis. Oozefest is a popular event.
Fees
- Semester-wise, for Fall terms it will be around $15k, including everything. Insurance costs are $1k for Fall and $1.5k for spring terms. Consider tuition fees around $12.5k excluding insurance; the remainder is miscellaneous costs for other facilities of the university.
- I spend around $1.2K monthly, but generally others are spending $700-$800, including rent and groceries.
- Transportation is included in miscellaneous costs and will be provided by the university.

- It had a vibrant atmosphere and there were always college activities going on
- Engaging for international students and Indian festivals

- The playing area is often crowded that is good and bad at the same time
Campus Life
- There are Diwali festivals bonfire nights and Halloween parties .
- All medical facilities are available on campus and library and sports. The major football arena is also available in the buffalo university’s and buffalo bills is very famous.
- The student organisations also include lot of cultural events such as musical night sports activities and pet pleasures where you can pet a dog.????
Fees
- For the entire course the fees come to 40000$ and it is charged semester wise.
- Monthly I spend around 500$ including and rent and groceries. Transportation is covered by my apartment itself.
- The rent of the house is 450 and the groceries comes to 50$ monthly. Sometimes I go to restaurant the amount comes to 550 if I go to expensive restaurants.
