The college is not really what one would expect from a regular college since at its heart, it is a research institute. However, it is adaptable and seeks to provide a good environment to the few students it enrolls to mould them into good researchers. We admit that this is kind of a niche, but being the oldest research institute in India, we are proud of it.

Admission : Indian association for the cultivation of science(IACS) is a scientific research Institute located in kolkata. Govt. of india and kolkata give funds to the Institute. In order to get admission, the students have to give entrance exam UPST and students will be selected on the basis of merit list.

All i can say after graduating from this institution is that you can't go wrong by choosing this university.Just be dedicated and you will be able to come out as a much more qualified and better person.

You don't have to doubt when you come to this college. They will make you feel like a part of the family who are always there to back you up . You will have a great exposure and experience after studying in this college.

It is very easy to get admission in this college. I got admission on the basis of the 12th mark sheet. You also have to give an entrance exam to come in the merit list as there are few seats for the course.

The students must pass the UPSC entrance test to gain admission. Indian Association for Cultivation of Science [IACS] is a scientific research institute based in Kolkata. This is the reason that students have to clear the entrance exam first.

The institute is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Kolkata. Students are selected on the basis of merit and invited to the interview after giving the UPSC Exam. It is difficult to clear this exam.

Admission to UG-PG and Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D. is based on the entrance exam conducted by the institute. For UG-PG, candidates need to appear in the UG Pre-Interview Screening Test (UPST) while for Int. M.Sc -Ph.D. they have to take the Master? Pre-Interview Screening Test (MPST) exam. The final selection depends upon the Interview round.

I'm very shy student and I'm not very comfortable with the interview process but my academic are very good so I get admission in this college very easily but I know that I have to change my characteristics
