8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec

Dislikes

The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

It's better than most???????????

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is really good
The faculty seems to have deep knowledge of the subjects
The overall ambience is good near to towns and great food

Dislikes

Some of the faculty are uptight and downright no logic at some point
The office working is really lagging and for everything we need a letter signed by multiple people
The attendance is really the biggest issue need to be able to come and go as we need 75 attendance to write the exam

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are there in the college IBM, Mitsubishi, many robotics startups has been part of the process I am missing some of the companies... But like most of the students gets placed and 3/4 courses has NBA accreditation so it has international validity.

Good ambience is set in the college. there is a lot of space in the college and there are so many trees and plants
The lab is very wide and there is so many systems in the lab
There are some workshops and orientation classes going on

Dislikes

There is no programs conducting ..Only studying
Not giving fund to conduct program and criticizing students for poor teaching faculty
Faculties are very bad and they are not coming to the class

Govt model engineer College under KTU is one of the best colleges in kerala, cochin had a great experience their.
For social life and other interactions college have lot clubs such as NSS, iedc, tedx, fortitude, thanal, thodi, bhumithrasena
I liked the placement offers of the college because there were total of 150plus companies camef and ninteynine percentage of students were placed.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is poor comparing to the others, basic facilities are less in the aspects of lab equipments.
Faculties are highly ranked but teaching skills are less, the students want to study by them self.Every thing is done by students itself .
All the programs are controlled by students there is no involvement of faculties. This functions are done according to the help of clubs

Placement Experience:

As i have mentioned college offers a excellent placements excespecially for computer students. Most of the students are placed. The placement cell maintains this in a effective way to make hundered percentage placements

COLLEGE IS LIKE HUB OF ENGINEERING

You need to pass CET exam for that in Kerala . It is kerala's 2nd best college after trivandrum College.
I got here through PMSSS as I am from j&k. In the college I was able to see what really engineering is and they made us perform every engineering experiment mentioned in syllabus. KTU is no doubt a tough university to pass but it makes u engineer .
Hostel food is totally awesome. Hostel rooms are clean and hygienic. Every facility is included. With fees of 3k per month. I am really missing my college and hostel.

Dislikes

If you are non malyali then language can be a barrier
Climate is very hot and if you are used to cold climate like me then struggle is real for you
Exam conducting is tedious and tough . If you get backlog you will have to appear after one year instead of six months.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester you will be able to take part in placement drives Hundreds of companies are coming to college e.g TCS , Tata, reliance, etc Percentage is almost 70-77 but it is minimum in civil engineering (less than 20%)

LIFE IN KTU

Likes

Provides more supplementary chances. We can write supplymentry exams in every semester
Equal weightage for questions from all modules. There will be 5 modules each module has 20 marks questions each
Provides equal importance to arts, sports and tech fest

Dislikes

2021 to 2024 there were no vaccations, so we cant do any internships
As semester is too short it may effects our daily life balance
Semester is very short, only 3 months classes will be there

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements after sixth semster many companies like tata, WIPRO, AL NASAR, Visits our campus every year average package is seven to ten lakh per year, my plan is to crack GATE 2025

Likes

Placement occures in last year which are high package
Internship offers in pwd construction project and all
College infrastructure is good with over 60 year old

Dislikes

There are cows and dogs roaming near college which are disturebing
I dont like our uniform personally but its now changed
Management control in our college ehich are strict

There are variuous placement offers L and T , shobha construction, aarbeee structures , accenture for civil engineering students and there are lots of other placement for another department . In our batch 66/130 got placed I got placeed in MALL OF GARDENS construction conpany

The college is situated at a very scenic location and has a nice campus
It offers good teaching professionals in every department
It has a good placements cell which helps students to get good placements

Dislikes

Has a very busy schedule which does not give students time for other activities
Lack of extra curricular and sports activities

Life Of an aspiring Engineer at Nehru college.

Likes

The college has very entertaining and experienced faculties.
Offer placements with top companies like Accenture, Wipro, TCS etc.
Supports co curricular activities and sports

Dislikes

The schedules are at times very busy and at times very free cause imbalance.
Students have to take money for all events.

The University's Main Campus covers 189 acres and is bordered on the north by the Adyar River and on the south by Raj Bhavan. The Madras Institute of Technology at Chrompet is the University's second campus, spanning 52 acres. Taramani, Chennai, has a third campus that spans 5 acres. These campuses have a variety of buildings that serve the University community's various needs.

ISRO has given Anna University the task of creating the "Microsatellite" known as ANUSAT.

It is the first university in India to have a satellite that will carry payloads for technological demonstrations. ANUSAT, which weighs about 35 kg and uses 40 W of power, will function as a store and forward communication station. There are ground stations at MIT, AU, and IIT Kharagpur.
