VJEC: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 6 Reviews

The college offers a straightforward online admission process via its official website, with options including an entrance exam or management seat for department changes. Faculty quality is mixed, with some turnover leading to newer teachers lacking experience and communication skills. Semester exams require students to score 75 points cumulatively from three internal exams of 60 points each. The college fees are around 75,000 INR plus additional charges of 15,000 INR, with scholarships and fee concessions available for economically disadvantaged students and those with high marks.

Total fees may reach 100,000 INR for students not qualifying for scholarships. The college has a strong placement record, achieving 100% placement rates with companies like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and Infosys through online tests and interviews starting in the 6th semester. No arrears and a good CGPA are required for placement eligibility. While internships are unpaid, students receive training through workshops and seminars. Average salary packages range from 3 to 5 LPA.

A dedicated placement officer coordinates the process. In 2022, the B.Tech program fee was 97,000 INR, with government seats and fee waivers available for SC/ST/EWS students. Hostel and mess facilities follow similar fee structures, and the college provides in-house banking for loan facilitation.
