BCKV Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 8th semester the Student is eligible for placement but most of the students prefer higher studies. The average salary is not enough so most of the students go for govt jobs, they take prepration for IBPS AFO,ADA,WBCS.

Placement and job opportunities are vast in comparison with other ug courses as you can apply for jobs in different sectors like in a bank different fertilizer company agriculture officer after completion of the course.

To be honest, I didn't know much about the curriculum prior to my higher secondary. But after that, I consulted with some of my school seniors who were studying in BCKV. They told me that it is a very vast field to study, you can opt for it. I did some research too and took admission. Faculty: Student Ratio- With a rough estimate, there are almost 150-160 teachers in the faculty of Agriculture. A total number of students per year is around 120. Qualification of the Faculty and Teaching Method: All the teachers have done Ph.D. and have a research background. All the classrooms are equipped with modern powerpoint projectors. All the teachers have depth in their field and take interactive and interesting classes. They also provide notes whenever it is necessary. Exams: There are almost 10-11 subjects in every semester and for each subject, one has to seat for one midterm (20marks) one practical exam (30 marks) & One Endterm exam(50marks). Exams can be easily passed with regular study.

Many many companies visited like Syngenta, iifco, matschuasi, green tech and placements ava about 80%, very well placement authority good, avg percentage 6 lakh per annum, well good placement in our university.

There are many scopes in horticulture like food processing, banking, psc exams. The faculty is small but very strict. The teachers are very highly educated and are very helpful. They always focus on the basics of horticulture. There are two semesters every year. The questions are very tough.

Placements scenario is not so good, it's average. And if you choose this university leaving a private college, then your decision is better. Packages are mostly in between 3-5 lacs. The multinational company visit every year, BCKV provide every student job and make them earning, and alumni are very notable.

This is best agriculter college in west bengal. This college ranked 12 in all over india.the placement of the college is quite good.this is my dream college.the package of the college is 6lak -7lak.and this is a government college in west bengal

Under Faculty of Agriculture you have got 16 different Departments. In UG course you have to go through all the subjects that come under this Faculty. After completing B.Sc. many doors become opened which you can opt for. Most of the people think there's nothing interesting in this course, it's like below the standard and all, most surprisingly they treat us as if we are becoming future farmers of the society. Jokes apart, if you think by taking this course you can somehow avoid your subjects of less interest like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, etc. then I would tell you it's an amalgamation of all subjects. Agriculture is the only course where you'll have to grow your knowledge in Biochemistry, Maths, Physics, Economics, and a lot of other sibjects. And a lot of jobs are there for you even after completing B.Sc. course. You can apply for MBA course like Rural Management, etc; apply for SSC, WBCS, UPSC exams; apply for jobs in Banks, private sectors, sit for JRF; apply for jobs in IFFCO, apply for ADA exams,etc. A variety of options are waiting for you as soon as you complete your B.Sc. honours.

I love the stream horticulture and botany so i joined this university,and also i want to contrivute for building our country's economical bridge,and feel proud that this course can give me thst chance

1st I want make bad remarks which I want to mention. More lecturers is needed in our campus. More good laboratory is needed.
