Remarks

I pass with science subjects or admission by icar examination. Minimum marks- 75 percentage.Age - 18 - 20. Admission day was nice. According to merit list students are called and they take admission. I felt very blessed to secure my place in merit list. It is very well conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many scopes in horticulture like food processing, banking, psc exams. The faculty is small but very strict. The teachers are very highly educated and are very helpful. They always focus on the basics of horticulture. There are two semesters every year. The questions are very tough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost is very low. The semester fees are very affordable. Many scholarships like a basis, Swami Vivekananda scholarship are available. Financial students are helped by scholarships. Many fertilizer companies' jobs in the private sector are available. The job facility is very good.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Naihrit and the fresher programme is called nabarun utsab. The library is one of the famous libraries. All study materials are available.The classrooms are very modern and air-conditioned.The sports is very famous and our university takes part in them every year.Bckv student forum social group.

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
