BCKV COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

College hostel is very good and hostel charges are very affordable.
College canteen is very nice, various types of foods are available.
College to Railway station road is very good.

Dislikes

Playground is need to be maintained and it is not nearby college.
Air Conditioner is not available in class rooms

Admission:

This college is best for agriculture Students so I choose this college. It is a government college so expenses is less competitively from the non government college that is why I have applied for this college. Admission is taken by the HS number basis

Likes

The course is very much important and have much impact on society.
The campus is too beautiful. Peaceful for mind, you can get the largest agricultural library of Asia here.
Professors are very much professional. They are too much talented and is capable to help you throughout the course period.

Dislikes

Placement cell is useless, no one can succeed in life after the hardwork of 4 years.
Authority have no power and can't provide peace through out the campus.
Some professors are too bad to handle, you can't even focus on their class.

Admission:

I have applied for UBKV too. This is also a good agricultural university. But BCKV is better, that's why I have choosen the university. No I haven't get any rejection cause my percentage in 12th board exam was too good. You can get admission here through ICAR exam or through getting good score in 12th board exam.

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

Likes

Campus life is amazing. You can enjoy a lot with your friends
Academic building is great along with a huge library.
Teachers are very serious and helpful. They guide you perfectly.

Dislikes

Too much pollution at the locality. Construction work is going on
Mess food is not that good. Some mess managers are dishonest.
There is some internal politics which is destroying the campus culture.

Admission:

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. You can also opt for JRF/SRF through which you can get into the institute. Follow University website regularly for more updates.

Likes

Professors in this university are very talented and friendly. They help us a lot.
We get the opportunity to do lot of field works. It's very beneficial for our experiential learning.
The atmosphere o this university is very homely. You get a lot of freedom to live as you wish.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good. Sometimes there are some problems in supply of drinking water.
Assets of this university needs regular maintains. Which is not done here regularly.
Some issues of ragging and politics is also there inside the campus. And there are shortage of enough funding to run this university.

Admission:

Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate. A score above 95% in the board exam or crack the ICAR AIEEA UG Exam with a good depth of biology and chemistry for admission.

I like all specially the educational infrastructure.
Low amount of admission fees and hostel fees. There are supplementary exams if you fails in any 3 courses. nothing to fear
Most of professors are highly educated and very kind to students

Dislikes

Infrastructure of building should be maintained regularly (additionally Ac fans etc)
Results should be published timely. Administration building should look after it
Students needs 80% attendance to seat in exam, this is not fair. If there is 5 class and one miss 1 class, her/his attendance become below 80%

Admission:

Admission is based on Higher secondary results in west bengal. And others from residents of west bengal can take seat in this college by giving Icar ug exam but they should crack this exam with a valuable rank. For ag engineering they should apply through wbjee and cut off for ur is 92% . And for others category cutoff is much below near 88%

Method of teaching is very modified and also helpful for students, who are belongs from others board other than CBSC
Laboratories are very high maintenance. Daily routine is maintained . Morning to Evening classes are done with one of the best expertise all over India.
Daily practical classes are done with laboratories and also field, so can we means students can learn properly about the subject matter.

Dislikes

Field should maintain properly for learning works , which will be helpful for our future.

Admission:

For admission a student with minimum 90 percent marks in 10 and 12th are required. Application form are available at the official website of University, then one can easily fulfill the requirements with marksheet and other documents.

Good ambiance and scenic beauty..perfect for mental peace
Functions are huge and classy..no restrictions their...everybody can enjoy
Teachers are very helpful..they helps you to get a job

Dislikes

Administration is awful..they don't think we are human
The hostel food is yucky...everybody lose weight here
There is no arrangement of inverter in hostel, hostel rooms are in very bad condition

Admission:

Admission process was good...physically we have to present on that day..total evaluation of our physical health was taken. There is no problem about anything...Teachers are friendly during admission. Cut off in higher secondary for general was 95% for SC was 92% and ST 85%

We and Our University - BCKV

In our university we have great teaching staffs, farm house which is within the university, all type of practical equipments.
We have a huge campus including 3 faculty ( agriculture, horticulture, and agricultural engineering) , hostel accomodation is available for all.

Dislikes

Lack of infrastructure, there are shortage of class room, there are not specific room for specific classes.
We have placement cell but currently university doesn't provide any placement facilities.

Admission:

Admission process is based on either the Hs marks or ICAR exam conducted by NTA. In Hs based system students must have PCBE combination in their selected stream. After declaration of higher secondary results, University announced admission notification on their website. Application fees was free during 2021 and there are some reservations for category students. Students above 75 percentage marks in Hs may apply in application process but above 90 percentage marks may get chance. In this system general category students face problems due to reservation.

My university in my eyes

Likes

The faculty is very experienced and focused on very deep and soundful learning. The campus is very supportive
The class room facilities are top class and have ac and smart boards
The hostel facility is good and health centre is also there for 24/7

Dislikes

The water facility is relatively less good
Sometime in summer current goes outit is also a Problem
Atleast some sports facilities are lacking in some cases

Admission:

The eligibility of this course is in mass obtained in higher secondary education on class 12 number basis the application you can fill up the application form given the amount and the reservation benefits you can get the admission at all low cost on the application it is a four year course and there are 8 semester total taking 16 exams midtermine in term included admission process is very good offline verification is done
