Remarks

Foe admission they only take from board marks from WBCHSE, CBSE, ICSE board above 90 percent marks in board examination. Only marks of Physics Chemistry Biology and English is acceptable Admission through ICAR UG is also available in this university. Course Curriculum Overview

There is a total of 2 semesters available every year.Also midterm examination and viva is also there.The examination pattern is a 2 20 marks midterm examination in every semester and 50 marks final exam at an interval of 6 months and 10 marks viva total 100 marks exam which is then converted into 50 marks after total year.

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 3100 per year

Internships Opportunities

The scope of the internship is less though there are few companies that come for internship programs like Flipkart Amazon.IIT Kharagpur also provides an internship program for students. Rawe program is also there for fourth-year students.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are vast in comparison with other ug courses as you can apply for jobs in different sectors like in a bank different fertilizer company agriculture officer after completion of the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

2-semester fees in needed in every year which is of 1550 rupess per semester. Scholarship like swami vivekananda scholarship Oasis scholarship is applied by the students.After every year students have to renew their scholarship.

Campus Life

A big playground, indoor sports room Gymnasium is available in the campus.A central library is also present which contain a large no of reference books for students which help them in higher studies and clear ther doubts.Wifi connection is available in the laboratory also.The laboratory is well maintained and furnished.

Hostel Facilities

There is a total of 6 no of hostel for boys girls and also for international students.Also few new hostel work in under construction. In each room number of students is 2 or 3 depending upon the no of students.Facilities in hostel is also good.A canteen and Dining room & indoor games room available in the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
