The fee should be paid for each semester ehich means we have to pay twice a year. The fees should be cleared before the starting of the semester..else we were not allowed in the examination(some special cases are considered according to the seriousness of the situation)

Univerty through a student's POV

Fee for many courses is quite expensive but scholarships helps students to lighten this burden. There are differeny scholarships provided on the basis of your CBSE or JEE mains score. There is a scholarship provided in sports qouta. But it can only be continued if you score more than 7.5 CGPA in the first year of your course.

My college life

Fees of UPES is extremely high as compared to other colleges. The university imposes a fee hike of approximately 1.5-2lacs every year. Their seats have stopped filling up as the fees are getting higher and the placements are getting lower every year. There are no scholarships for the general category but you can get an education loan from banks. I have done Aerospace engineering from upes and I am a 2019 pass out. I am unemployed since. 40% of my class is unemployed. Some are preparing for government exams while some pursuing masters degree but none of them got a satisfactory job of their own domain. I suggest if your parents have 20 lakhs to burn, go for it else don't. If you don't have any other option and you have to go for it. Choose a branch from computer science or choose to drop.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course syllabus is good. Yes we have enough industrial exposure. Facilities are supported except from some. The course is mostly aeronautical oriented but it should be a combination of aeronautical and astronautical.

Scholarships are provided by the college. There is a 25% fee waiver for Uttarakhand domicile student who fulfil a certain criteria. There is also a scholarship for 1st year students who have a +90% aggregate in PCM.

I am not aware of any loan facility in my college. However, I'm sure that some of my friends do study using a student loan. Scholarships in UPES are only for the top notch studious students, I mean like really studious and consistent because you have to have an average of 3.67 to get a scholarship here. And that, I would say is very very difficult.
