UPESEAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before you fill the UPESEAT 2026 application form, check the eligibility criteria carefully. UPES has different eligibility requirements for different B.Tech programs. The table below shows the main criteria.

UPESEAT 2026 Exemption Criteria (Direct Admission)

Some students are exempt from UPESEAT 2026 and can apply for direct admission to UPES B.Tech programs. You qualify for direct admission if you meet any one of the following conditions:

• You scored 80% or above in both Class X and Class XII with a minimum of 80% in PCM subjects in Class XII.
• You have a valid JEE Main 2026 score — UPES accepts JEE Main scores for 20% of its B.Tech seats.
• You have a valid SAT 2026 score of 1040 or above with minimum 50% marks in Class XII (PCM).

Candidates appearing in Class XII board exams in 2026 can also apply, provided they meet the required percentage by the time of admission.

UPES only accepts Class XII PCM scores for B.Tech eligibility. Candidates with Biology instead of Mathematics in Class XII are not eligible for B.Tech programs at UPES.

UPESEAT 2026 Application Process and Fee

UPESEAT 2026 registration is done entirely online at admission.upes.ac.in. Phase 4 registration is currently open. The application process is simple and takes about 20–30 minutes to complete.

How to Apply for UPESEAT 2026

• Step 1 – Register: Go to admission.upes.ac.in and create your account using your email ID and mobile number.
• Step 2 – Fill the Form: Enter your personal details, academic details (Class X and XII marks), and choose your preferred B.Tech program.
• Step 3 – Upload Documents: Upload a passport-size photograph, signature, Class X and XII mark sheets (or admit card if appearing), and a valid government ID proof.
• Step 4 – Pay the Fee: Pay the application fee of Rs. 1,750 online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
• Step 5 – Book Exam Slot: After paying the fee, book your preferred exam date, time, and city. Slot booking is on a first-come-first-served basis, so book early to get your preferred slot.
