Some of the profs are really very great as they encourage us to think outside of the box.
Campus is good, friends are good, clubs and societies are good and the fest is good

Dislikes

The number of shops are very less in the college campus, which is very bad.
This year 2023-2024 , the placement stats has dropped due to recession all among the world leading to less hiring opportunities for freshers.
Professor are very strict here in academics and academic is also very hard.

IIIT ALLAHABAD REVIEW

Labs are well equipped and you we get access to it
Campus is of 100 acres which covers all needs for students
Good competitive environment which create good vibes

Dislikes

Boring faculties and there boring lectures
Campus located in outskirts of Prayagraj which is around 8km from city centre
Very less focus on other co curricular activities

Placement Experience:

Best in class placement is there at IIIT Allahabad. You will get intern oppertunity in starting of 3rd year and placement opportunities from 7th semester. Over 250 companies come on campus. Average package of 2024 is 35LPA and median is 30LPA with 90% students placed.

PLACEMENT IS EXCELLENT HERE. AVERAGE PLACEMENT IS AROUND 35 LAKHS. MOST OF THE TOP PRODUCT BASED COMPANIES LIKE GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, CODENATION ETC VISIT HERE FOR RECRUITMENT. PLACEMENT IS AROUBT 90 PERCENT.

IIIT Allahabad good for placement less for experience

Likes

good coding and development environment in campus, students here are indulged in projects
good cultural fest effevescence which attracts people across the globe
good brand tag in tech industry such as banglore it hub.

Dislikes

hectic schedule in this college specially in ece makes it a deal breakere
ece here is too much oriented around labs
in ece if a student does not have to pursue the core then also have to do so much work in it.

Placement Experience:

placements are done in 7th semester here it says more than 90 percent of the batch is placements now average package is more than 35 lakhs for whole batch and some what less around 28 in ece in btech here.

IIIT Allahabad college amazing review

Likes

Coding culture of college is extremely great , environment and location of over college is also good . Research culture of IIIT Allahabad is very good , there I participate in many projects with professor and PHD .
Placement culture of our college is very extraordinary in compared to other colleges in india
Sports event of IIIT Allahabad is good , There is InterIIIT sports event

Attendance policy of our college is very strict.
Hactice schedule because of work in project for many subjects
Only Two branches of our college because of this student are very less

Placement Experience:

From semester seventh I'm eligible for applying for placement , there are many companies come to our college this year approx 100+ . Highest package is 87 ctc , around 90 percent students getting placement this year

College provide a bus service to explore a city
Also provide a fund for good events and celebrate the event in pure management

Strict attendance policy and profesor always check the attendance

Decent college

Likes

There is smart peer group. Which is always useful to be around and makes a person feel better
If there is an infrastructure problem it gets resolved quickly ,Unlike many other government institutions.
The boys is to girls ratio is around 1:4

Dislikes

The professors can sometimes be a bit too harsh on the students
The Water is not R.O on the campus premises.
The Hostel mess can be Unhygienic and the food is also does not taste good

Placement Experience:

From the summer prior to the 5th semester companies start coming to the campus for internships and a student can apply and get the internship opportunity. and as of placements the companies start coming from 7th semester onwards for placements. for internship the average stipend is 1,00,000 rs/ month and the average package for placements is 32 lakhs CTC

SEEING IIITALLAHABAD, THE STUDENTS POV

The size of campus is perfect, it's a not too big, not too small 120 acres campus. We don't have to wake up too early just yo walk or cycle large distance to reach classes.
The boys to girls ratio is 4:1 which is quite good considering the condition in other institutions. As a female candidate, the campus is quite safe.
The infrastructural facilities are quite good, as compared to other colleges who offer the same course and facilities.

Dislikes

The rigorous attendance criteria is what I dislike the most. There is a 75% mandatory attendance criteria, and moreover there are marks for attendance as well.
Lack of recreational facilities in college is what I dislike, apart from a very good swimming pool, there is nothing else to get happy about.
The Teaching Assistants are very strict and egoistic. It is very difficult to deal with them. They are the people who check our exam copies and may cut down marks even on small reasons.

Students get eligible for placements in 7th semester. Companies visiting us are MAANG, Salesforce, Nvidia, Qualcomm, TCS, Infosys, etc. The placement percentage for last year was 100% for IT and 86% for ECE, therefore the college average was 93%. The highest package was 1.2 Crore Per annum, the average was 25 Lakhs, median was 21 lakhs. My plans are to sit for college placements.

IIITA - pros and cons

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is great. The college is well equipped with labs. Library is also great.
The sports facilities are decent. There is a heated swimming pool available with an instructor. The football and cricket ground are also very good.
Trhe placement cell is the best part of this college. Since many years it has insured that all the students get placed with a great package.

Dislikes

The social life here is dull. There are not many events. Fest is also not that great
The attendance criteria is quite rigorous here. It becomes tough to maintain your attendance.
The water quality is not that good. It's drinkable but not the best.

Placement Experience:

The main highlight of this college is its training and placement cell. It makes sure that all the students are placed with a good package each year. It has a stellar record since the last 10 years. Students become eligible for internships in 3rd year and for placements in the 4th year. Last year about 91% of students were placed. Big companies like google Microsoft apple nvidia samsung Zomato ets visit the campus every year for placements. These big companies make about 5-6 offers every year. The highest package last year was 1.2cr rupees and the average package was about 25 lac rupees. My personal plans after getting this degree are to pursue higher education. This college also has connections with several foreign institutes. They will help us for higher education.

Iiita: the review

Likes

Gender ratio at iiita is very good, much better than any other government engineering college it's around 1:3
The campus size is of 100 acre which is perfect not too less not too much it's very easy to go to classes from hostel.
The placements at iiita are very good even beating some of that of iits with an average placement of 25lpa

Dislikes

Iiita lacks sports facilities, there are very less sports facilities
The schedule is very hectic you got classes all day
The location of the campus is not very good it's situated in outskirts of allahabad

College provides campus placement opportunities. Students of 7th and 8th semester are eligible for the campus placement. Many famous MNCs visit iiita including big names like Google Amazon Microsoft etc. highest package this year was about 1.4 cr and average package is around 2500000. Nvidia hired 3 ece students this year. Around 90% students get the campus placement.

IIIT Amethi is situated near a village named Tikarmafi, 10 km away from Amethi. It has its own perks. Here are some factors about the institute.

Academics:

Both IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Amethi have the same curriculum and professors. Because of that, professors visit the Amethi campus on a daily basis.
As almost everything is similar for both campuses, the exams are also conducted parallelly in both of them, making them at par for things related to academics.

Placements:

Students of IIIT Amethi are shifted to the campus of IIIT Allahabad after their 4th year, securing them placements similar to the Allahabad campus.
Needless to say, IIIT Allahabad does come with good placements. IIIT Amethi also enjoys the same privilege as placement is same for both the institutes.

Facilities and Infrastructure:

This is exactly where you can set the contrast between the two campuses. IIIT Amethi lacks good infrastructure. It is a very compressed campus with only two boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel.
There had not been any sports facilities in the institute before. But at present, it has standard Basketball courts, a Badminton court, TT tables and a playground for cricket.
The labs and libraries are minuscule too. It can hardly support the strength.
Besides, you might also not find any up-to-the-mark food items around the campus, but just snacks to keep the day going.
There’s an option to take a bus ride to visit a town nearby, Sultanpur, which helps in a way to let students escape from the everyday life at Amethi, and rather spend time in that area, or buy decent food.

IIIT Amethi does have its fair share of disadvantages but it offers good placement in top-notch MNCs such as Google, Facebook, and Adobe, etc. Also, the pros outweigh the con for IIIT Amethi.
