Life at NIT Agartala: A Perfect Blend Of Academics, Opportunitites, and Campus Vibes

Likes

a spacious campus with a lot of greenary, good infrasturcture,hostels like RNT,ARYABHATTA,GOMATI,GARGI.
Compared to private colleges the tution & hostel fees are less.
experienced faculty, well structured curriculum and research opportunities.

Dislikes

Remote location with poor connectivity with main city and airport.
climate is so humid and summer might be uncomfortable for students.
placement variations: core engineering branched got less placements than CS/IT.

First of all this government college which you get from JEE mains exam so there are some PSU's also various companies are attracted to such National Institutes and that the reason why I choose this college.After JEE main i applied in JOSAA for seat allocation to get admission in NIT and i put this college as my preference for electronics and communication engineering. Cutoff is appoximately for this branch is about 94 percentile for GEN/OBC and category wise above 88 percentile to secure admission here.

My views on NIT-A

Likes

The campus has a lot of flowers and greenery everywhere.
We have fests in college like MOKSHA , AYAM , etc.
We have different cultural and technical clubs .

Dislikes

The classroom that they provided us in the 1st semester.
The fare of the autos are a little much.
There's nothing more I dislike about my college

My jee main rank is around 20k in general catogery. I got many iiits like pune, sonipat, bit mishra it, iist shibpur it, etc But i took help of my brother who is studing at nit agartala cse he guided me to join it. You can choose good nits by leaving cse but cse is my first preference

The exposure of the college is quite appreciable . It has various clubs for the upliftment of the student .
Since it is a college of national importance , so students come from almost from every corner of the India and one gets a opportunity to learn something from every culture of India .

Dislikes

The college is of 367 acres but the college buildings are only limited to 77 acres and almost every building is very far from each other which becomes very bad to go from one to another . And there is no good canteen and a place to chill
Here the professors are not that good and supporting . Mostly PhD scholars teach in the class . There is a lack of professors in the college .

Admission:

Likes

Sports complex is good and well maintained.
Greenery in this campus is very good , its quite
Professor have friendly relationship with students

Dislikes

Girls dont get much opportunity for sports
Quality of mess food is way than worse bit hygienic
For vegetarian only paneer is available to eat daily

Admission:

I applied for top 15 national institutes,.. because they had the thing called national importance. I glt rejected for top 10 nits due to low percentile, end moment i fucked up with my health . Admission is done through josaa or csab.

my 4 year roller Coser in nit agartala

Likes

campus is very huge and it is full of trees with good environment and the collage have big mechanical lab.
there are lot of clubs both educational and entertainment purpose

Dislikes

the collage staff are largely native people it is difficult to communicate with them.

Admission:

i choose nit agartala because it have good mechanical labs and it have mbaja club which particiaptes in sae baja compititions very few nits havve this club . i got rejected by nit silchar because i messed up in the cllage priority order during councilling round (jossa) addmition will be done in jossa round , ater getting the seat we will receive a mail with our provisional admission leter and we need to go to collage for he document verification after that the collage management will comform our admission

The good, the bad, and the verdict

As i said it is nit so it will give me brand like more value than other ordinary college it is the most likely thing.
Campus is very good and also big. View of college is also good. College is overall ecofriendly and i like nature so i like it.
Hostel rooms are quite good as we havegiven new building so rooms are big and quite beautiful. And the garden parks are good.

Dislikes

There is no network inside the hostel room. Sometimes there is 4G network but there is no any chance of 5G network of jio even in my class room.
Campus are very that makes it look beautiful but we need to walk too long sometimes we need to run forour classes daily we walk almost 5 kms. That i don't like.
Mess food quality is very food i think they try to make good but we are from other states so we don't like it but overall it is edible but sometimes we can't so that's also i don't like.

Admission:

Actually i dont want to take this college with this branch (electrical) but i didn't get as musch as marks in jee for getting other college better than this college. I want to take computer science branch and also some other college. But as they say something is better than nothing so i took this and now i took it as a positive and iam trying to do my best.
