NIT Agartala Scholarship 2026: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

NIT Agartala offers a range of scholarships and financial aid based on family income and category. For SC/ST candidates and students with a family income below Rs 1 lakh per annum, there is a full tuition fee waiver. The detailed fee structures depends on the caste of the student actually. In my case, as i am an SC student, mine varies from Rs 5000-6000 each semester registration and the fees are adjusted accordingly. But for other caste students the fees may be little more but not too much. Also i availed a Scholarship based on my marks and performance in earlier studies and because of my caste and my father's income. But there are many useful scholarships available too for other caste students

Best technical institute in Tripura

The fee is divided in semesters. Per semester you get to pay around 70000 INR if you belong to the general category and if you belong to ST/SC category, your tuition fee is exempted. However everyone has to pay around INR 5000 as other fees. The institution has a scholarship cell through which you can apply for various governmental and non governmental scholarships.

All about NIT Agartala

The yearly fee i use to pay for my academics is 10-12k (SC category and for students having income below 1lakh)(veriable per sem.), tution fee is zero, but for other income slab the tution fee is adjusted accordingly and hostel fee (mess+room, can't be payed seperately) is 30000 (fixed for all), although there is an option to take leave (8 days per month), the mess will not charge for the leave days. Students having income above 8 lakhs need to pay the full fee i.e. 70k. there is scholarship section in collage, in which any student can contact there and know if he/she is elegible for any scholarship.

Take Good intership and get PPO

As I am in government college and my parent income is below 1 lakh. So there is 100% tuition fee is free..but the other fees included examination fees, development fees,and others..it is maximum 6-7k per semester ..but in last year of me college it is 10k approx..and as I am living in hostel ..so in my first year .my first hostel fees was 37k approx . including initial fees ..but as now hostel fees are approx 25k . And the student whose parents income is above 5 lakh .they have to pay fees of 70k approx per semester

Who's category are OBC, general, they have to paid 65,000 Rs and hostel fees : 25000 Rs. They who's category are ST, SC, GENERAL-EWS they have to paid Zero Rs only and hostel fees: 25000 Rs. There are many scholarships name like NSP scholarship are here.

Comprehensive curriculum with practical exposure

As I'm from the obc category and my family income is less than 1 lakh so I get a fee waiver and hence my fee structure is different from others who paid the complete fee. Fee structure after fee waiver in this fee structure there is only tution fee, caution money, registration fee and other fee tution fee is not included as my tution fee is waivered but tution fee for the students who doesn't get the fee waiver is 62500.00 per semester so for the exact fee structure of that type of student who doesn't get the fee waiver you include in the given below per semester fee-> 1st sem-> 17125.00 2nd sem-> 9425.00 3rd sem-> 6625.00 4th sem-> 5425.00 5th sem-> 6625.00 6th sem-> 5425.00 7th sem-> 7625.00 8th sem-> 9375.00 Scholarship are:- NSP, SIEMENS,RELIANCE,FFE etc.

For the each semester we have to pay 6k for the students who have reservations and scholarship is available for the category wise Fee will increase and decrease by the semester wise and hstl fee and mess fee will be around 29-30k

As a Biotechnology student experience at NIT Agartala

When I get admission I paid 36000 rupees as per my Fee structure It was 17000 for 1st semester and rest of the money is adjusted for next semester as I'm a SC catagory student fee is much low like 6000-7000 per semester including all the fees no extra should be paid during whole semester. My Classmates who are from genaral catagory there are 3 types of fees those who's parents have income above 500000 has to pay 70000-75000 per semester. Who's Family income is less then 500000 and above 100000 they have to pay 30000-32000 per semester. And those family income is less than 100000 they have to pay only 6000-7000 as per SC/ST students give. Means no tution fee is applied. There are many types of Scholarship schemes as per NSP . SC catagory scholarship ST catagory Scholarship Merit Scholarship it is applicable for those who's family income is less than 800000 .

Eyeopener

The year wise fees oof the college is 190000 . In which tution fees is 140000 and mess and hostel fees is 50000 . You get any central government very easily because it is institute of national importance but you should fulfill criteria for that scholarship. For SC/ST the tution fee is 6000 and for EWS it is one-third .
