SRM University Chennai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement Statistics are very good in the previous years. A lot of good companies come here for campus placements every year and this is the thing which attracted me in this college. Students can sit in campus placements in the 3rd year 6th semester. Last year around 100 companies visited the campus with a no of offers. Highest package is around 24 to 30 LPA and average package goes around 8 to 10 LPA. Almost all stufents of CSE batch gets placed with a placement percentage of 95% My plan is also to crack a dream package of 20LPA after completing my degree here.

Student can apply for placement for the starting of 3rd year which is 5th semester but for intership you can get into it in 2-3rd semester itself. There are many comapany like Google, Amazon, Infosys, HCLTech, HP, Wipro, Cisco, Hindustan Unilever, IBM, Accenture, Udaan, Mu sigma and many more. The highest package is 52-54 lpa and the average is 7.50 lpa. Almost 100% placement is there. I wanted to start my own startup.

From sixth semester students becomes eligible for campus placements. Top companies like Amazon,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HUL, HCL and so on.. And I got offer in 2 companies are Infosys and Base Automation Technologies. Highest package is 51laks per annum and the average package is 3 to 5. 90% of people's are easily getting placed. Plans after getting the placements is to work.

From 6 semester as far as I know students starts getting internships in the college and hence in the 7 semester they start getting placed . All big companies visit our campus microsoft, Google and amazon all like other government colleges but the Student selection ratio is very less. The highest package was 60 lacks and average for cse was 10 lacs, around 70 percent students are getting placed, I will start working after my graduation and if needed later on will do masters and mba.

I'm currently in 1 st year basically they give training for placement this time upto 40 lakhs per annum many got and placed in various companies minimum 7 cgpa to enter into placement rounds as per their rules

Most of the jobs were mediocre and were not field related they also have bonds for two years which most of the people were not ok with . Many of my classmates were not able to get placed and had no other option than going to masters

As the course which i have choosen is the new course it seems good for the future use and the thing in the courses CSBS is the combination of Computer science and business studies.if we are struggling to study computer science the can jump into MBA courses also.

me being a law student expected a lot of practical and theoretical examples to be presented in front of the students when I first joined in, but the reality was far less than what I expected. The professor is mostly came in read. Whatever the book said and left, gave us few assignments and group projects to be completed without any particular information from their side. We had to sit and do research on our own without any input, and then we'll go summit down the assignments or projects or whatever task was appointed to us, and then we'll have a viva through our work and that's pretty much it . The new professors who joined in by our third year, were very practical, made us understand a lot of things which the previous professor didn't. They answered a questions. They were more relevant to us because they could understand that some topics were forced on us and supposed to be taught, maybe twice or thrice just to make us more comfortable or just to make us more smarter in that area by understanding it in depth . law is one of the most interesting and difficult courses out there, but then if you have the right professor is leading you to it, you would learn easily and more efficiently. in my area of study, practical work was not very much included other than participating in mood court. It was all theory based which is not very important in a way because when you finish your course and get into the real world when you go to your corporate world or litigation side, you need practical experience and you need to understand how to do work and not just learn the sections or the theory part so something that they could have improved was rather than giving us assignments or group projects they could have made us understand and giving us real life situations or give given us more practical practice so that it would be easy for us to understand what litigation is and how we are supposed to do it.

The placements in our college is better than other colleges in Chennai. We will be trained for placements right from the first year. During post covid also our college provides good placements for our college.
