Likes

Some of them are very kind and teach the things very easily.
Amazon, tcs, accenture, lnt, infosys, and all other important companies are here to provide more opportunities for all the best students.
Sastra university has excellent infrastructure and the social life was very peaceful and joyful the library is fantastic.

Dislikes

Fests and other activities will be less and very bad actually
About the syllabus its little bit tough to crack the exam.
The rent is very cheap but being a non vegetarian the vegetarian food was not good for me .

Digital classes are made students easy to observe and learn
Sports are avilable includes all types of grounds
They use smart ways to teach us in easier way

Dislikes

Air conditioned rooms are not available in hostels
Proper guidance was not provided poor in this field

Placement Experience:

Our seniors said the college has very good opportunities to get the proper job opportunities comparing to other universities similar to sastra it has highest package of 32 lakhs and average package of 8 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mostly I am not participate in any games and other things but they have conducted all sports events during every semester and that is very good and interesting. Overall the curriculum activities in the university is good.

Teaching methods, lab and library facilities, canteen facilities, extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

Revaluation fees is higher, less holidays

Placement Experience:

Students eligible for placements from their 5th semester. Engineering students from 7th semester. TCS, CUB, BNY, DE SHAW, DELOITTE etc... Offers made for more than 100 students. Highest 5,00,000 LPA Lowest 2,00,000 LPA 80% of getting placed I got selected in TCS BPS and I will join the company after my degree.

College life in Sastra

Likes

Quality of education, research equipment, less fee comparing to other good colleges
There are good and very helpful faculty they will guide to go more heights
Good infrastructure , very clean and good greenery

Dislikes

Ony vegitarian food , non veg is not allowed inside campus
Very strict hostel rules and college rules

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good The average salary is around 5 LPA Highest is 24LPA , lowest is 3LPA There will be a lot of companies vist every year and there will be 90% of students able to get placed The placements and training department is very active and helpful

Life at SASTRA

Likes

The research department infrastructure is so good
The library with lot of books from every department
The hostel's which are new and nice yet less fee on it

Dislikes

The acess to any lab or reasearch would not there after 6:30
Too much strict on dress and hair code , which is sometimes annoying
Few faculties make a big deal when a boy and girl have a very normal conversation

Placement Experience:

Ryt as they enter 5th semester students are eligible for placement's on an average every sem 15 different companies would come for recruitment's,the percentage of students getting placed per year would on an avg 40 percentage, who ever after degree is to join armed forces

The college campus is clean and tidy, it feels like you have entered a new village, not like other colleges where the campus is full of building.
Lots of opportunities for students is given in academic sides, a lot of internship, speeches from people who achieved, if you use it well it will benefit you
No ragging or any other problems form senior or follow college mates

Dislikes

The way we pay fines if someone brakes something everyone have to pay fine for them like in hostels,labs
deans of students affair, electronics department the are rude and doesn't help much like they have too much power
Too much focused on studies no ON duty provided for inter college competitions

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students will be eligible for campus placements. Lot of companies visit sastra like Amazon, Cisco, Wipro, Infosys, TCS and etc for bio related companies biocon and Reddy's lab. The total companies vist will be more the 40 Offers made may vary form totally 500 to 1000 Highest pakage offered was 1.2 cr and average was 6t o 8 lacks Percentage of students getting placement is 40 percent I planning to start business.

Facultys nature is good. They want to help you in every aspect
Diffrent types of completion also organised in the college after certain duration
Fee Structure is good in compare reputation from other colleges

Dislikes

During the college fest they only focus on performance related to Tamil lab
Few teaches speak Tamil language during the class of you are outsider it might be problematic for you
Leave for famous Indian festival is not provided

In the beginning of 7 th semester companys start to come for placement. Some good company also came this year for computer science people . If you are from a stream related to cs Then you have many chances that you can get placed but. For. Civil machanical that's totally different from cs

All detils about BTECH in SASTRA,Thanjavur

Likes

Faculty is very good instead of some teachers
Every lab has filled with all the equipments required
Infrastructure of the college is excellent

Dislikes

Food will not be good especially for telugu guys
There are no ac classes or hostel rooms so that we have to face issues in summer
The wardens are very strict especially for girls

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good. Every student is eligible for placements from 3rd year. The companies take some students based on cgpa cut off. Upto 150 companies visit our college. So we have numerous oppurtunities. Max students are placed in TCS. They provide highest packages every year upto 40 lakh. Average package is 5 lakh. 85 to 90 percent students are placed

Likes

Education qualityis very good. The way they train you.
Labs and other facilities are on point. They spend too much on labs
Placement and internship oppurtunities are tge best.

Dislikes

Strictness of college is a little high compared to other peivate universities
They dont allow non vegetarian food or outside food inside the campus or hostel.
Hostel girls are more restricted than boys.

Placement Experience:

Maximum of the syudents get placed in the campus placements itself. The placement process starts from 6th semester onwards. Highest paid placement was 40 lpa . College also helps students with getting internships.

SASTRA in and out!

Likes

The faculty are good in every way they will assist you but there will be no spoon feeding tho. But they will be helpful
The resources that we get which is helpful for us for our higher studies
University library which is way spacious and ventilated with lots of books which will help us in every aspects

Dislikes

According to sastra there will be no any senior junior interaction

Placement Experience:

The students who have no standing arrears with minimum of 6cg are allowed for campus placements highest package may be more than 24lpa and lowest is 6lpa and about me I need to get into iit after attending gate since I am more into higher studies
