Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well designed and will be effective for higher studies and helpfull for placements. Most papers are useful in the real world. The frequency of exams are the main trouble but there is good gap for studing during the semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
Paypal, wellsfargo, cisco , tata consultancy service , wipro, accenture are the current companies that came for internship offers and the stipend for wellsfargo was highest at 50000 per month and maximum for 3rd years they see the cgpa of above 8.5 so very few got internship
Placement Experience
From their fifth semester the students are eligible for internship and placements. Zoho , accenture, fidility, paypal, tcs, wipro, cisco , wellfargo etc. my 4 classmates have internship in wellfargo. My plans are doing masters in abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
Semester fees is 80000 and nri fees is $5000 per year. Admission fees is 2000 and remaining fees included is semester tuition fees. There is educational loans available and high percentage merit students get scholarships like tuition free fees.
Campus Life
Colloseum , daksh , kuruksastra Colloseum- February Daksh- march Kuruksastra- april The colloseum is a sports event conducted by the college. It is a intercollege sports event. The daksh is a intercollege technical event The kuruksastra is the main cultural event conducted for 3 days with many activities There are many clubs by college and students run clubs and it is helping students a lot.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good and bad like new buildings are good but older ones are bad. The hostel registration is a headache bcoz it is very demanding. The mess food is sometimes good but majority not good. The fees range from 16000 to 28000 for the hostel rooms based on the room type and this is yearly fees. Strictly no AC. Mess fees range from 4000 to 5000 monthly. Strictly no Non Veg. The locality for taking pg is thanjavur or vallam
Admission
Lovely professional university, srmist, vellore institute of technology, bits pilani, thiagaraja engineering college. I chose this college because it was nearer to my hometown and i didnt get admission in above college expect lpu and srmist but i chose this one. The admission process is bad and not well organised.
Faculty
One faculty for a course and the relationship with students depend on the staff and the mood of that faculty. The exams are conducted in internals and semester format with internals 50 and semesters 100 and converting the semester marks to 50 and adding the semester marks with internals to get the grades. The internals papers are tough compared to the main semester exams. There will be 3 internals conducted and best of your 2 internals mark will be choosed with the semester result to get the grades. Grade ranges from: F-fail D-50 to 54 C-55 to 64 B-65 to 74 A-75 to 84 A+ - 85 to 90 S - 91 to 100
