Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

To choose the particular course mainly the students will see whether he is a strict faculty or not mainly and the course is helpful for our future projects I don't feel this college will copeup with real world applications it just guide you but you should do the work I feel real time applications and industrial visits should be more for the students to get the complete knowledge The frequency and timing of exams will be moderate which a student can be manageable if a student has a own schedule

Placement Experience

4.5

In my opinion it is the best university for offering campus placements From 6th sem we will get the campus placements and I have interview for 13 companies but I am selected in 4 companies which are TCS, Cognizant,L&T mindtree and Tata Power In our batch the highest package was 34LPA and average package was 4.5LPA 80%of the students were placed during recession I have joined in tata power some of my friends have joined in M.Tech in vlsi design

Fees and Financial Aid

It is not dependent on any branch but you can move from one branch to another also if you have high CGPA. I am 2023 passed out.so the fees may be somewhat vary. Coming to the fees structure 1st year 1,45000+(books+maintenance charges+Library+extra cultural activities) 2nd year-155500+(labfees+examfees extra per sem=2000) 3rd year-165000+(labfees+exam fees extra per sem cost around=2000) 4th year -175000+(labfees+exam fees extra) It is basically a merit based college based on our 12th marks and JEE mains but it will give 100% placement and the faculty is also very knowledgeable In my opinion one of the finest college and cost friendly college

Campus Life

4.5

There is only one fest which was kurukshastra which was beautiful and have many memories it will happen once a year around may/June There will be some workshops regarding IOT,EEE,ECE, mechanical and rare ite visit There is a huge library which was 8 floors and there will be many journals,IEEE papers regarding technical There will be projector and black board based classrooms and they will just explain real time examples I feel if it is practicals /labs will be less There are different clubs I am in telugu sahitya sangam which was cultural, singing, dancing

Admission

I have applied for SSN , VIT, SASTRA,SRM ,Manipal .I got admission from VIT-civil SRM-EEE SASTRA-EEE and Manipal- mechanical.Comparing to all the universities I felt SASTRA as good one as per budget friendly and campus placements.Vut all other universities are also very good I got rejection from SSN.i didn't have that much of 12th marks it should be more than 975+ but I secured only 960. You should visit www.sastra.edu The eligibility is 12th marks and JEE mains based on counselling we will got allotment in branch.when you got the counselling call we should visit the University and if you like the branch and campus you should provide them 10th,12th certificates as well as adhar,PAN,Bank details and for confirmation you should pay around 65000/-

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio will be equal. The relationship between the faculty tos student will be normal and you can approach in classroom as well as their labs/office rooms but the faculty is very good in teaching and experience I like Mr.Rajendran who came for MPMC through his help only I feel I got a core company as my placement .All other faculties have done PhD sin their subjects. Coming to exams these are the toughest and the maximum CGPA will be around only 8.2.There will be a pattern of internal exams (50 per sem)and external exams(50 per sem) where internal exams are like Unit Tests which are CIA's there will be 3CIAS the best of 2 will be taken into consideration .The toughest part is the sem sometimes I felt very bad for 1cia I thought the question paper was the combination of mechanics and maths. So overall it is tough to clear the sem exam if you have good practice and it is not tough too.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

ECE is a core subject in the upcoming technologies like the semiconductor field etc. which is why I chose this branch. VIT has a lot of labs and equipment that enables a person to learn and grasp practical knowledge faster. The teaching methods include using a PPT and using a white board . Sometimes flip classes are done when students explain topics. The 2nd open book test is the toughest in difficulty level when compared to exam 1 and the final test.
