Likes

Some of them are very kind and teach the things very easily.
Amazon, tcs, accenture, lnt, infosys, and all other important companies are here to provide more opportunities for all the best students.
Sastra university has excellent infrastructure and the social life was very peaceful and joyful the library is fantastic.

Dislikes

Fests and other activities will be less and very bad actually
About the syllabus its little bit tough to crack the exam.
The rent is very cheap but being a non vegetarian the vegetarian food was not good for me .

Likes

Professors are knowledgeable and experienced in this field. Availability of mentorship and guidance for research projects, academic and career advice.
Relevant and up to date curriculum especially in core subjects like AI, ML and Robotics. Rigor in coursework that helps in personal and professional developement.
Well equipped laboratories and libraries with a vast collection of resources. Projectors available in most of the class rooms.

Dislikes

Some of the students might find certain teaching method outdated or not engaging enough. Need for more practical , hands on experience.
Some of the Hostelers and Day-scholars girls might have problem with strict rules for them as hosteler girls can go home only twice in a semester other than festival holidays like Deepavali and Pongal.
Some courses might feel more theoretical, lacking problem solving experience.

Placement Experience:

From end of 6th semster students are eligible for pacements and most of them will be placed before 8th semester . Wipro, Microsoft, ZOHO, Amazon,TCS, JPMorgan and etc. The highrst package is around 30,00,000 per annum average max is 9 LPA and min is 6 LPA.

MY OPINION ON SASTRA UNIVERSITY

Likes

College atmosphere is good and has various facilities.
Has good placements and internship opportunities.

Dislikes

No enjoyment as per se. Has few some events .

Placement Experience:

From 7 th semester, students are eligible for placements. Many companies such as intel and Zoho are visiting and about 600+ offers made. The highest package will be 34 LPA and the average will be 7 LPA percentage of placement is about 95%

Cutoff for sastra-2024

Dislikes

Mess food is purely vegtarian. But is ok.
Boys are not permitted to go outside after 8.00pm. And girls are not even permitted. They can only go when their outing timing is alloted.
Mostly in old hostels, indian rsstrroms are there.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quit good here. 7 sem students are allowed for placements here.tcs, zoho, paypal are the tope recuriters for cse. 80-90%of students are placed yearly. Highest package is 54lakhs and lowest package is 2-3lakhs and average is 8 lakhs.

Very good campus buildings and too big to see
The food maagement is very good and hygiene
Main thing is the college faculty and their behaviour, really they are very good at it

Dislikes

Bathroom maintainance is very bad in the hostels
Girls rules and regulations are very strict
Compare to other colleges we are having dtrict rules in it

Placement Experience:

3rd year the students are eligible for the campus placements Wipro, IBM etc are some companies came to offer jobs for students Adobe is the company which offered a student 42 lakhs as the annual package The student should maintain more than 7.5 CGPA without standing arriers at the last semester I would like to write GATE exam and do MTech in good colleges

LIFE AT MY COLLEGE

Likes

I like the environment which has full of trees and it isis very peaceful
I like the newly built library which has all the facilities to study in a calm environment
I like the college fests which happens once a year

Dislikes

I don't like the rules which is only given to girls
I don't like restricting girls on going outing only once a month

This college is very good at getting placement offers from high companies like wellsfargo,paypal and fidelity.the placement process will start from the 3rd year 7 semester .the highest package was from PAYPAL that is 32LPA

The professor are very good at teaching . The education is good and the infrastructure is also good.
The infrastructure of the college is good and it is filled with greenary .

Dislikes

The new hostel for the boys is outside the college which is very long to reach the class on time by walk

The campus placement of the college is very good the companies are willing to take as many as possible candidates who have talent and intrest. The average salary is 6 lakhs many companies like cognizant, TCS etc many MNCs are approaching the University from the talent

Likes

Ambience of our university is the best. There will be a lot of clubs for each talent.
Faculties are sweet and friendly.and they are strict too

Dislikes

The timing of college is like school hours. So I feel it like a school.
The hostel timing and dress code for girls is very strict. It will feel like jail.
There will be 3 internal exam per semester. It feels like a monthly test

In the end of third year placements will be started. According to the CGPA companies will be chosen and there will three rounds like aptitude interview and group discussion.after selection within one month call letter will be given from the company.

College Life In Sastra - Curriculum, Placements, Hostel Life, Clubs, Sports

Likes

Sastra is known for its academic programs and strong emphasis on quality education.
Various facilities like marvelous library and other sports facilities are given by Sastra.
Placements are too good in Sastra. The average package offered is more than 6lpa.

Dislikes

Cultural activities are not given much importance by management.
Strict rules were imposed on girls. Like girls should be inside their hostel before 6pm.
Quality and variety of foods is not given importance and non veg is not allowed inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Campus is sastra is very descent compared to other Tier 2 colleges. But in this year , the placements in sastra is very low compared previous years. The average package is around 6lpa in sastra. The highest package secured is around 35lpa. The lowest package is around 3lpa. Placements is guarenteed if you joins in sastra. TCS company takes around 500 people from this college every year. Around 90 percentage of students gets placed in this college.

Likes

Disciplined society overall,friendly environment
Good peer groups,Needed cultural fests and other activities
Needful knowledge enhancement programs and technical fests

Dislikes

Somewhat a strict evaluation and syllabus is so vast
Short period of time for a semester, preparation time is so less
Internals period time is within 3 days literally for 6 subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had a liking towards the college and many of my family friends have already studied here and are in various good places, and also there is a lot more informative exposures we can collect from Sastra more than education like extra curricular activities like singing, so I've always dreamt of joining thisone thoughel after joining only I now understand that particularly my course is somewhat challenging to study and pass as the subjects are so wague.

Likes

Infrastructure will be very good.Experienced professors,vast laboratories,a big library with different kind of books
Hostel management is good.Food provided will be good too.
Excellent knowledge gaining courses,skill development classes

Dislikes

Fees will be somewhat high.Time restrictions is more
No non veg is allowed for students. Hostel students can't able to eat what they like
Maintainence is very good but they may improvise it

Placement Experience:

Since I am still studying I am not aware of the placement procedures but from my senior I heard some things.i can share it From 3 rd year they will start pre placement training. Lots of IT companies will visit For my department 2-3 companies is hiring
