How many teaching weeks are there in the BPUT B.Tech course?

The number of teaching weeks in each semester of the B.Tech course offered at Biju Patnaik University shall be fifteen to eighteen with a minimum of 90 teaching days excluding the period of examination.

What is the maximum duration of completing BPUT UG courses?

A student who is weak in studies can complete a 4-year UG program of BPUT in not more than 7 years, a 3 year UG program not exceeding 5 years, while the 5 year UG program, not more than 8 years.

Is there any seat reservation at BPUT for physically handicapped students?

Yes, some of the seats at BPUT are reserved for physically handicapped students, however, they are required to satisfy the prescribed medical fitness norms.

Can a B.Tech student at BPUT change his/her branch?

Yes, any student pursuing B.Tech at BPUT may be allowed a change in their branch after they have completed the course requirements for the first and second semesters. The change in a branch will be done subject to the availability of seats in a program. The selection shall be based on merit through candidates combined results in the first two semesters.

How can a student check the BPUT Result?

Students who have appeared for the BPUT Exam for both UG and PG courses can check their BPUT Result on the notice section available on the official website of the varsity. Students are required to visit the official website at bput.ac.in. Then, they need to select the examination tab and click on the BPUT exam result. A detailed summary of the students result will be displayed on the screen.

How a student is evaluated at BPUT?

Students at BPUT are required to maintain the required credit points for each semester as per the rules formulated by AICTE. Each discipline at Biju Patnaik University consists of 4 things: Theory, Practical, Sessional, and Project work. A student is evaluated based on the above-mentioned 4 criteria.

Teachers are well, good and caring. they make us feel like a school.
I like many things in my college. our class room is awesome . i do like very much.. our library is such a good library.

Dislikes

I don't like many things in college. Such worse environment in our college. Always people try to quarrel in with us.
Food of the canteen is very bad also not a single shop is in the 125acres of campus
There is always problem on water and electricity

The climate of the campus is very much nature friendly.
The hostel provides 24*7 wifi facilities to all the hostel boarders.

Dislikes

The food quality of the hostel is not upto the mark.
There is transportation system available for the hostel studnets.
The class room distance from the hostel is very long.

Placement Experience:

The students of this course are eligible to attend the placement aftef the end of the sixth semester examination. The companies which are invited to the placements are highly reputed organization in the corporate world. They provides all the students their salary package according to their skills and knowledge. The minimum cgpa required to attend the placement is 6 and may varies according to the companies requirement.

A good college with its pros and cons

Likes

The environment the fests, placement culture and its different club facility for exposure to your talent and intrest.
Various initiatives are taken by Government to ensure great future of the students. Previous year 5 student of minnning engineering branch have sent to foreign institution for higher study by Government free of cost
Good alumnae network and placement in various big MNCs

Dislikes

Not having enough well qualified facility
Not having good playground and instruments for playing
Don't have well equipped lab facility for students and don't have real world exposure for students

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and after 6th semester you are eligible to sit on campus placement and if You have 60 percentage in 10th, 12th and graduation then you are good to go. Vedantu, Adani ports, Tata steel, JSW etc are among the good companies which come for placement. The average package is 300000 and highest package is up to 1600000. More than 60% to 70% students gets placed each year in the college. I am planning to do m.tech after the college.

The campus environment and vast study garden/ or central library
Cricket ground and other sports facilities

Fee structure should me flexible and more relevant to the parent
Parent teacher interaction should be held in every 2 month
Teacher should focus on each and every student and help them to encourage their internal quality

Dislikes

I don't like the canteen food. I don't like parking of college.
I don't like the college campus area because it is too short
I don't like the hostel of the college .

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester students are become eligible for campus placement. There many companies visited to our college but I can't remember their their name ????. The highest pakage the company offered is 600000rs per annum. And the average pakage is 240000rs per annum 80% student get campus placement per year. My plans after getting degree is getting a campus placement.

Exact review of a 3 tier government college

Likes

the fees is quite affordable and you get hostel facilities
food is different from each day,and hostel price is low
you get personal table,racks,free wifi,with high speed fan

Dislikes

the facilities such as getting clean water is low
the speed of free wifi is very much low with discoonections
the taste of food is average and som,etimes we get stale food

Placement Experience:

from seventh sem onwards student become eligible fr campus placements. we try for off campus placements like tcs,infosys,cozentus,tech mahindra,incture ,cognizant,hexaware with average package ranging from three to four lakhs

The hostel food of both boys and girls are not good

The moto of our college is "Gyanam anantam"which means knowledge is endless.

Likes

The college campus is very friendly and faculties are friendly and helpful.
Infrastructure of the college is well developed.
Every requirements for an engineering college is present here.

Dislikes

Many corruptions in the colleges and in their infrastructures.
Sometimes there are some ragging in the hostels.
Roads are not good in the college and college is not so much developed as compared to other engineering colleges.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Aditya Birla, Rungta steels Ltd, idfco, Vedanta,tata steels, Adani , coal India etc. visit our college each year for placements. Each year nearly 40% of students gets placed in the placement sections. After getting degree is should do my mtech.
