Likes

The teaching faculty is excellent. they are expert and have a very good knowledge about the topics.
Scholarship will be soon arranged for the students who achieves by giving a test and is eligible for scholarship.it is important to be able to provide scholarship for althose who are in need .they need to be helped .
Students will absolutely enjoy their campus life as there are various fests, different days are celebrated and the campus itself is very beautiful to enjoy.

Dislikes

I don't like the faculty member of these college, also the hod is a liar.
The admission process was not that difficult but the website was very bad to handle...
Big line for paying fees, fees structure, no online payment available for many colleges

Gist of my college

Likes

It is situated in the heart of the city and it is very easy to commute over there. Also there are many hostels and pgs in the nearby area which are not very expensive. Hence the location of the college is very suitable for the students.
College has many functions which intricate values of social mixing and interaction with the fellow students. Also college provides alot of scope for the extracurricular activities likes sports and other events etc.
Faculty which is hired are experienced ones with their phds completed and with net exam passout. They have good knowledge about the subjects they are teaching and are very friendly with students and are very cooperative.

Dislikes

Sometimes lectures might be extended to complete syllabus so it was little hectic as a student.
Personally i do not like to get up early but lectures used to start from early morning 7 o clock.
College was strict regarding the attendance and it was compulsory to attend and complete 75% of the attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course because i was interested in the specific field of mine. Curriculum is upto date and well revised also there were practicals based on that course. So that students can get practical knowledge of the given field. Course was detailed with real life examples and theories which were useful for future academic pursuit.

The very first thing is the campus ... It's offers a wide range of flora and fauna which makes the college environment the best .
Infrastructure and amenities: The college has its all facilities for all students be boys or girls .. the thing which I liked here the most is a spacious ladies recreation room which makes the most comfort zone for all the girls .
Faculty : The faculty which I have got in my department is highly qualified with all holding their PhD degree's and having an experience over 30+ years .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The very first thing is I have done my bachelor's in economics so it was obvious for me to join this masters course.Secondly taking Fergusson as the best option for masters was due to the name , fame and it's approach of study.Now talking about the curriculum Fergusson has implemented the nep 2020 policy which focuses on the implementation of the syllabus which means real world application. Here the curriculum asks us to take the topics in a way which can be implemented and worked upon which we do as a part of reaserch .The best part about the exams is they are conducted on time with results due to which the rest of the academic year goes smoothly . But the thing to be noted is that the difficulty level is moderate to difficult due to its demand for the high level thinking . So over all I'll say that the faculty is at the best but u need to grasp the topics in order to remain in the course and compitition.

Me and my college life

Likes

The teachers were very supportive. The faculty was good. They taught us very well.
College also conducted many kind of competitions to boost the confidence among the students.
The campus was also very nice. And the staff too.

Dislikes

College did not provide any career guidance or placements.
Many students need career guidance but the college failed to do it.
I'm hoping that this college and university will provide placements for future students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If the student is thinking of giving UPSC or MPSC then this course is very helpful for them. Law, gov. exams, fine arts, designing courses, etc courses are the options for further studies. The difficulty level of exam was moderate. But College need to arrange some placements for students.

The teachers are very polite and friendly.
Every semester there are trips organised for more practical learning
The academic curriculum is very good. It is diverse.

Dislikes

There are very less extra curricular activities
The students are very irregular and the teachers takes it very lightly
Different opportunities or clubs are very limited

Placement Experience:

The placement however here is not much efficient. It is good for the Business background students because most of the opportunities come for them. We only got one opportunity but since my plans was to complete further studies, I didn't sit for any placement opportunities.

I am to choose this college because this college are very best for economically backward students and financially crashes for our college students so this college is most benefit to categories students and this college staff is very highly qualified this college is conducted for extra curricular activities they are conducted for State Level Competition and national Level Competition for all student for participation in this college and their conducting sports activity those students are involved in sports college is full supported for in this students for India sports activity.

I like that the faculty is very support and the classrooms are well maintained.
my engagement with campus is going good as i feel confident walking around
they do take care of each individual student and help them grow into themselves

Dislikes

the campus is small compared to other campuses
some teachers or faculty members are rude and doesn’t know how to behave with a grown up one

Placement Experience:

After 1st semester students become eligible for campus placements. highest package was 8 LPA as of now and out of 100, 70 students are getting placed and my plans after the degree is to get a permanent job in a good company with high package and good profile

The campus is vast. There are multiple courses to opt
There Is no confusion in finding your department because of the boards
The faculty is outstanding. The experience is unbeatable

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

Campus placement training is available too. You're eligible for it after the third semester. if you have no backlog It is great. There are many companies that visit because it is the home university. Average package is 5LPA and it goes upto 16 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 60-70. My plans after the degree is to apply for my NET exam and after that I'll do my Ph.D in English

Many tree are been cutted down for more infrastructure
There is no proper sitting arrangement for girls in campus
There are less extracurricular activities no extra exciting activities

M.A. Course in SPPU

The capacity of my batch is very less, that gives all the students to gain more individual attention from the teachers.
The teachers are friendly, interactive, and very helpful.
The course seems very vast and theoretical, but after attending lectures continuously, it becomes easier and we get a specific direction as to what to study.

Dislikes

Some subjects are dry, so there’s a lot of theory which is a little difficult to gulp.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn to read more, and also understand the Indian as well as the English literature. There is one subject names Indian literature in English translation, so the curriculum has certain poetries and a novel for the 1st semester, and it's awesome. The novel is 'Samskara' by U.R. Ananth Murthy. The people who want to pursue writing or literature for that sense in the future, this course is perfect for them.

What is your review of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)?

One of my friends recently graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). According to her, it is better to do anything rather than joining this institute. She mentioned some of the reasons that made her feel this way.

The institute only focuses on making money and not actual education.
The syllabus and curriculum followed by the institute are outdated.
Practical training is not properly given, making students lag behind the industry demands.
Basic things like a proper academic calendar are not provided.
Re-evaluation is time-consuming and usually not done properly.
A 60% from SPPU is not considered good enough for admission to other colleges. They do not consider it as first class.
They are known to have the worst and uncooperative staff members. They are not at all helpful or considerate about any problem.

It is suggested that you do not opt for SPPU as they are highly unprofessional. They do not have a proper way to conduct classes, assemblies, extracurricular activities and get involved in everything half-heartedly. SPPU is a good example of how a university should be not.
