Navigating success: My new journey at PCCOER

Likes

Placements and internship opportunities are good.
Crowd for CSE, IT and E&TC is good. I don't know about other branches.

Dislikes

Campus is very small. Don't have good palying area.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements after 3rd year. Many companies like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Persistent etc visit for campus placements. Most of the students get placed during and also after campus placements.

Likes

The Professors are very experienced and trained with a lot of PhD faculties.
Various Cultural events , seminars, conferences and workshops are conducted all year round for student development.

Placement Experience:

The students usually become eligible for placements in the 7th semester. The training and placement cell is responsible for all the placements and are very dedicated in providing placement opportunities to students. Companies like Sun pharma, Glenmark, Macleods and many others offer placement opportunities to the students. The average package offered is around 4-6 LPA with the highest number of students getting placed every year. The various profiles offered include production, sales, quality assurance, research and development and others

The best thing about college is the experienced professors and the regularity of classes which is very good to have as an experience.
Taking admission in Pune for engineering and want a campus life, then this is the best college.

Dislikes

The ratio of placements to that of the admission is poor.
The increase in local goons in the campus deteriorates the environment of the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit in placements from the end of 6th semester. The main criteria for shortlist in most companies is no backlogs and more than 70% in 10th and 12th and some have relaxation upto 60%. Highest can go upto 13-18 lpa on campus and the minimum could be anywhere between 2 to 3 lpa.There are many opportunities right from the end of 6th semester but the students at that time are not prepared and few get specifically prepared and they grab the best of offers

Know this things before going into PICT.

Likes

The biggest pro of PICT is it's Training and Placement Cell. More than 100 companies visit PICT during placement drives.
There is one of the best coding culture in PICT. They also organise their own hackathon

Dislikes

There is no campus Life in PICT actually there is no campus just three bulidings and one small basketball court.
There is no playground for playing sports like cricket or football, no badminton court, there is only table tennis tables and one small room sized gym.

Placement Experience:

After 4th sem you can start applying for internships. More that 100 companies visit PICT during placement drives. Some of them are Barclays, Bank of New York, Deutsch Bank, phone pe, Accenture, etc.. The highest package offered in around 64lpa by a fintech company and average package is around 20 Lpa for computer engineering students. Above 90% students get placed in PICT. I am doing good in coding and will apply for internship after 2nd year

Likes

The infrastructure is good and well equiped labs and auditorium. It has a big library with with a huge amount of academics as well as other books. The college has an open air theatre too.
The college has a variety of clubs which help students to boost in specific domains of interest. The sports facility is available for with a big ground to play.

Dislikes

The college time is soo much hectic. There are a lot work to do which sometimes feels so hectic in the 8-5 college schedule.
There are 3 exams in a semester. Inspite of being autonomous they just ruins the college life.

Placement Experience:

The placements are better in college. The average package goes around 5lpa and the highest package is nearly 12 to 15 lpa. The capmus placements had a good oppotunities and also the college brings the reputed companies to the campus, like tcs, bmc, UBS, Honeywell, Johnson, reliance, godrej, etc.

Likes

College is veru strict mostly for exam cheating and rules and for attendence
This college never miss the lectures their time table is so strict they follow

Dislikes

Campus of aissms ioit is not so good means so small campus
College mess food is not so ok... I don't like the taste

Placement Experience:

Aissms ioit placement is good but highest package is very low in 2024 last year in 2023 21 lakh higest package got by entc student And 2022 highest package is 45 lakh So according to placement this college is best average package is 5-6 lakhs

The faculties are very supportive to students also there teachings are really good
There was one thing which i were don't like about college but now they have improve it about id cards that from gate anyone comes inside but now id card is required

Dislikes

The college is filled full of students like violenced boys
Sometimes faculty don't respond immediately for out projects they takes time to finalize it

Placement Experience:

Basically when students come in 4th - 5th semester they get start to get the placement drive, campus drives, like there are some csr activities through which students get opportunity to give interviews in companies so they can get select for the jobs. There are various courses held in our college with that courses students get certificate and knowledge about how to give interviews

1. The placements - College provides excellent placement as well as internship opportunities for students.
2.Coding culture - You will find very competitive environment when it comes to academics. Everyone is skillful.

Campus size - The college has 5 acres of campus, the size looks small.

Can a student who is a year down in his 2nd year get placements in Pune University if he is satisfying all the eligibility criteria for 4th year students?

I have a few friends from Pune University and according to them, you will be eligible for placements. At Pune University, most of the companies have only two criteria for the placements.

90% of the companies ask students with more than 60% marks in aggregate. Some companies allow students with 55% marks in aggregate.
No live backlogs.

Even if you had a year down or bad ATKT, it does not matter. If you have good aggregate and moderate aptitude and communication skills, you will get placed without much effort.

There might be some companies that may ask the reason for having a year down but this will not hinder your eligibility in HR and Technical HR interviews. You can also state your medical reasons if any.
