SPPU Placement Report for 2025 is yet to be released. According to the NIRF 2025 report, 753 PG students secured placements in the 2023 - 24 academic year.

the placement rate in the college is very good and a lot of good companies visits the campus. the average package is around 7 lpa and the minimum package goes till 3.5 lpa along with the highest package of 20 lpa. companies like FinIQ,NVDIA,IBM,ACCENTURE and many more are listed. the percentage of students getting placed is approx 80%. i have been placed in NVDIA with a package of 14lpa in my 7th sem.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Can a student who is a year down in his 2nd year get placements in Pune University if he is satisfying all the eligibility criteria for 4th year students?

I have a few friends from Pune University and according to them, you will be eligible for placements. At Pune University, most of the companies have only two criteria for the placements.

90% of the companies ask students with more than 60% marks in aggregate. Some companies allow students with 55% marks in aggregate.
No live backlogs.

Even if you had a year down or bad ATKT, it does not matter. If you have good aggregate and moderate aptitude and communication skills, you will get placed without much effort.

There might be some companies that may ask the reason for having a year down but this will not hinder your eligibility in HR and Technical HR interviews. You can also state your medical reasons if any.
