SPPU Placement Report for 2025 is yet to be released. According to the NIRF 2025 report, 753 PG students secured placements in the 2023 - 24 academic year.

The placements offered by my college are outstanding compared to other colleges in my area. Almost all students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Big tech companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IBM visit the campus for recruitment. Major tech companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini hire in bulk from this college. Other non-tech companies like JCB, Tata Hitachi, and railway companies also visit the campus for core branches. Approximately 90% of students get placed in this college according to their skills. Placements of the college are good . They are incerasing year by year . As now college is made autonomous placement is also good in the college. Companies like TCS , CAPEGEMINI, like such big companies are also coming to college . as such college have developed the placement ratio . the higest package offered in the college was last year it was 18 lakhs . average pacakages offered in the college is betweeen 3 to 7 lakhs . but the students are geeting placed from college. Near about 70 to 80 percentage of the students are getting placed every year.

Can a student who is a year down in his 2nd year get placements in Pune University if he is satisfying all the eligibility criteria for 4th year students?

I have a few friends from Pune University and according to them, you will be eligible for placements. At Pune University, most of the companies have only two criteria for the placements.

90% of the companies ask students with more than 60% marks in aggregate. Some companies allow students with 55% marks in aggregate.
No live backlogs.

Even if you had a year down or bad ATKT, it does not matter. If you have good aggregate and moderate aptitude and communication skills, you will get placed without much effort.

There might be some companies that may ask the reason for having a year down but this will not hinder your eligibility in HR and Technical HR interviews. You can also state your medical reasons if any.
