Gist of my college

I chose my course because i was interested in the specific field of mine. Curriculum is upto date and well revised also there were practicals based on that course. So that students can get practical knowledge of the given field. Course was detailed with real life examples and theories which were useful for future academic pursuit.

The fees i paid was around 4000 for a year for my respective course. And i was given admission through grant system of the college in which you have to pay very minimum fees because you get selected by getting in the cutoff list of the college. I was admitted under open category. For the ones with sc/st certificate and admission under grant quota they will have a total annual fees upto 2000. There are various facilities of scholarships for students which they can avail if they satisfy the conditions put up by the college. Also there are various schemes like earn and learn for the students who do not have sufficient economic aid to help them earn by teaching to the junior students by fullfilling necessary conditions. The fee structure is generally stable and does not increase anonymously since it is a government college and it is very affordable for the students.

There are various fests held in college also there are celebrations on various festivals where students wear clothes accodingly. There is a very big library in the college with many books available. Students are provided with those for the time they want. There are facilties of presentation settup within the classrooms for students to experience immersive learning. Extracurricular activities like football, basketball etc are held within the college.

I applied in this college because it is government college and is situated in the heart of the city where it was very easy to reach in addition there are many hostels nearby so the area is very reachable. My college is one of the best college in pune hence i applied in it and got admitted. I also applied in one other college but cutoff of that college was much higher. Eligibilty to get selected is clearing the cutoff of the college and having good previous academic performance. Admission process was very smooth and fast with good administrative management.

The faculty to student ratio was like around 1 teacher for around 50 students which was good. Faculty was very good and friendly with students and were really helpful. They were really easy to approach. And they would guide regarding whatever problems you face. Faculties even provided with their mobile number so as to contact them whenever needed. Basically there were 2 exams held each year one before diwali and other before summer break. Exams were on moderate level. And yes the students who were not regular many times failed in the exam since checking was good and you need good grasp over concepts to write it. I generally do not have specific mam or sir who are my favorite because all were good just not to me but to all the students.

There is spacious canteen in the college which provides tasty meals and refreshments. There is a garden a very big one in the campus where students go to hangout during collegetime. Hostel campus have strict timings regarding entry and exit. But if you stay outside there is no such restriction. There are various hangout places nearby like a small trek to parvati hills, famous temple of shrimant dagdusheth halwai, local shopping area of tulshibaug, garden of sarasbaug etc. And the area is safe for women to roam around even at night.
