MASTERS IN PSYCHOLOGY,SNDT Edition

For first year you are supposed to take up internship from your own and for second year the college with place you somewhere so this is usually done to make you ready for real world. You also have internal tests along with assignments and with internship so sometimes it gets exhausting I feel this area should be improved.

The internship provided for the Second year students of masters us great for clinical, counselling,and IO. They have tie ups with KEM,SION,thane mental hospital,SRCC for clinical students, for IO students you get TATA, MAHINDRA, etc for internship and you can get stipend as well in IO in some organization. For counselling there are red boys foundation, counselling centres where you get to observe therapy sessions and you get to conduct tests on clients.

The yearly fee differs for each specialization eg for clinical and counselling the fee is 28000 and for counselling it is 38000. The College provide financial aid for st/sc students with a discount and it also has scholarship opportunities for students who belongs to power economic status

They have mental health week after Diwali vacation and it continues for a whole week with students participating and putting up stalls to sell their products. The College has Library and wifi service available for students they also have access to many research gates which they provide for research. The classroom have smart boards which is used for teaching and presentation purposes. If you're into sports the college supports it and encourages you.

So i applied to this college for purely internship and placement. They have good internship opportunities like red boys foundation counselling centres man talks for placement and many more ngos and schools so you get exposure to real world and real world challenges. While other colleges have internship which usually last upto 2-3 months. Admission process is simple you have to register on the website and have to submit hard copy of your documents and then they have eligibility criteria of 6 papers of psychology in your BA and cut of is 70%approx.

The faculty members are very helpful you are welcomed with questions at any giving time. The HOD is actually really great he doesn't intimidate students to fear him. There are 4 semesters in total in two years of masters program and the exams are of moderated- high level difficulty. Min 2 max 4-5 fails in the exams.

So the college is in churchgate this there are various spots outside the campus to hangout with your friends but the college is relatively small and has only a canteen which serves good food at affordable rate. The hostel timings is till 8pm. There's not much to do inside the college campus
