One of the top ranked colleges for post graduation Journalism in India and course structure was more inclined towards my choice of subject, namely Journalism. Also, the reputation of college made my decision easier.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course was well structured in terms of the subjects and number of classes. Faculty incharge also made sure it was covered well in the proper duration. The course curriculum was in accordance to the subject.
Internships Opportunities
Being a part of SIMC, i interned with two media houses. Travel plus leisure India and south asia, a lifestyle magazine based in Gurgaon. Newslaundry, a media watch based in New Delhi. Companies did not offer any stipend as such but i was a part of multiple interesting projects which helped me learn more.
Placement Experience
Companies that step in for the placement process are one of the best companies in field of media. I, being from Journalism school was part of placement processes of companies such as Reuters, Indian express etc.
College Events
SIMC has festivals and activities planned for its students almost every other week after class duration in order to keep the students entertained and occupied. It is an amazing college to be a part of in terms of activities too.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is on the top - notch and provides with enough internet facilities to everyone all across the campus. The campus is situated on the hill top and the facilities like mess, hostel and classes and mesmerising.
