Likes
- The course structure is very much well organised for the whole career and competitive exams like gate etc.
- The labs are also equipped with modern instruments
- College also helped to get insights in different fields if anybody is interested
Dislikes
- The course pressure is little bit high. So we require time management skills to handle both our curriculum and extra curriculum activities
- There is some space issues in our department which will be fixed in future.
Placement Experience:
From third semester students are eligible for getting placements.
Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements.
Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs.
The percentage of students getting placed is very less.
After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

- The academic availablity is best in the country in IIT Bombay
- The campus life in every sense is unbeaten
- We get exposure, numerous extra curricular activities, self development in the IIT Bombay
Dislikes
- Some professors here can't able to connect with students because of generation gap
- The academic pressure makes some students to get dipression
- Except these in my opinion IIT Bombay have everything to survive.
Placement Experience:
For placement, the students are eligible from 3rd semester onwards. In my department, total 9 of the core companies came and gave offer to approximately 16 to 17 people.The average package is around 20 LPA and most of the profiles are GET in geosciences. Mostly around or more than 50% students are placed.

- Hostel, infrastructure, mess food and overall environment is very good.
- Faculty are too good and cooperative. Supportive in every possible way.
Course Curriculum Overview:
As a student of B.sc (Hons) first two years you have to clear all the optional courses, which is a good perspective to overall development of students but due to this student can not totally concentrate on the main course and competitive exam.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for Placements in their last semesters.
Nearly 1800 students get placed every year and more than 300 companies visit.
The highest package is around 2 Cr and the average package is around 16 lakhs, Profiles offered are software Developers, consultancy, Logistics, and Analytics.
Nearly 90% of students get placed.
I plan to pursue Higher Studies Abroad.

Remarks:
The course I wanted, was only offered in IITB. It is a dual degree course but students who want to pursue PhD or want to get into corporate jobs, can take an exit option after 2 years with a MSc degree.The tag of IIT is seen as important in any application you make after the program. While like other institutes, the course structure is a bit outdated and improvements to course structure takes place at a snail's place. Pros: infrastructure, campusCons: Academic pressure, Course structure.

Placement Experience:
The campus placement is too good. A lot of students get placement here. The Indian as well foreign companies comes and offers a good package. This university student received highest package in india.

Awesome one word best placement one can dream of any IIT. 95% gets placed. Average salary is 12-14 LPA (Gross).
