Remarks

The holistic approach to teaching. Course work was project-oriented. Optional courses are scoring as well as an inter-department option available. Few courses we very theoretical and attendance is strict in a few of them for appearing for the exams. Writing test of IIT JAM results out in a month followed by counselling process same as JEE. Classes start in July. Placement process and fame of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

My undergrad degree was in Microbiology and I had a knack for Molecular Biology then, hence Biotechnology was the best course for me over Chemistry and Environmental Science. Roughly 1:3 was the student: faculty ratio. Faculties are postdoc holders from renowned institutes across the world like Harvard. There were exams round the year and since exams were divided into multiple of 10's or 20's it was quite easy to pass.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I applied externally didn't opt for campus internship. However, opportunities are available (3/5 of who opted for on-campus internship got it) nothing could be better than IIT Bomb.

Placement Experience

Awesome one word best placement one can dream of any IIT. 95% gets placed. Average salary is 12-14 LPA (Gross).

Fees and Financial Aid

I was DST and AcSIR- Kalaam Scholarship. On the fees, the part had roughly 30-40K per semester in a 4-semester course (2 yrs).

Campus Life

A lot of festivities around the year Tech Fest, Mood I, Salsa, Dandiya, Prom, PAF, PGCult etc. Well equipped with amenities required for a Bio student NMR, ESR, SPectrophotomer, Fluorescence Microscope, Shaker, Incubator whatnot. Super awesome like the cultural activities.

Hostel Facilities

Freshie year you share the room with random people if you are lucky with your friend, Final year you get a single room. Sneaking into boy's hostel is a dream come true and might come true. Few hostels had awesome meal esp Hostel 12,13,14.

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the GIPE are decent. This year the highest package offered was 18 lakhs per annum by Deloitte and IDFC FIRST Bank. Although the placements are not 100% but it's around 60%. Students need to work hard and score well in aptitude test and they should start the preparation from the second semester onwards so that they can easily manage their end semester exams as well as the aptitude test. The average placement package is around 8-9 lakhs. My plan is to get a corporate job and gain some experience and exposure in the corporate world and learn how the things actually work. Many companies that come to the college are looking for data analytics role. The ratio of the companies looking for consultant, risk analyst is less based on market demand and other circumstances.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.
