Remarks

It's a good institute but you can always be better. The education and knowledge they provide us with is very good. The only thing that drags the institute is proper infrastructure. Being a newer institute we don't have our own college premises and operate in the building of another government institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have completed my graduation from the same institute and the syllabus for graduation was quite descent. the working hours were 10 to 5 and tiresome. However the post graduation syllabus is not up to date and also the working hours are very very hectic (9:30-6). I don't think a post graduation student needs to spend soo much time in the college. rather he/she should have ample time for self study.

Placement Experience

3

The placement cell tries its best to provide us with internship and job. But the jons are far below than the students' expectation and hence rarely anyone gets placed at a company and even rarely stays with the job. being a different field we don't have very long list of companies waiting for is but not being placed is the student's choice and not the college's failure.

College Events

4

Formal events in our college are the teachers day, annual gathering and the expos and conferences. apart from these events we students organise Freshers party and farewell party on our own. All students are enthusiastic and outgoing. We participate in huge numbers and make our events a success. Be it a cultural event or a technical event we always recieve an applause.

Fee Structure And Facilities

4300

Fees and Financial Aid

The reserved category students get the samaj kalyan scholarship. Apart from these there are many scholarship facilities that one may apply for. Like the freeship scheme, central sectors scholarship, and there are more. The institute is very helpful in such case and provides all info about the forms and documentation about these scholarships. All it recommends the government about students to grant them scholarship.

Campus Life

1.5

Not all the faculty is tolerant with extra curricular activities. Some tea hers think that only and only studying makes you a good student. laboratories are well equipped and fully functional. In fact we feel blessed to have such advanced machines and technology. Talking about gender ratios 80 percent of the college students are girls. Also we proudly have larger student diversity coming from all parts over India. The college welcomes students from all genders, cultures, races, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

College has their own alumni association for welfare programs. all alumni are very helpful. they are always ready to help students for their unique project ideas. alumni visits college in most of events for funds. some of alumni came to provide knowledge about different and latest technologies. overall great.

Admission

The field of forensic science is itself interesting and I wanted to become a doctor as such. But because I could not crack PMT I took admission in this course as it was quite towards medicine. The admission procedure relies on merit basis criteria. As all my fellow classmates I filled in the form and according to the cut off I secured a rank in the merit list and got the admission.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is actually from basic science (most of them) and they have very little if not zero knowledge about the field of forensic science itself. the teachers are good at their own subject, but could do better if they had knowledge of forensic.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester. I am going to start the process now from june. The companies such as springCT, Josh, Omniscient, Bluepineapple, etc. come for campus placements. Some companies make offers in lot or some lpick only 2/3. Almost all students get internships. In 4th semester we have to do internship compulsory. Average package is 7lpa if its a job offer if its an internship the it is lesser.

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.
