Remarks

The counseling process was quite smooth where the officials simply question the students about their interests and academic qualifications. There is a thorough verification of documents and students are segregated very sequentially during the registration process.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I had a keen interest in knowing more about forensic science. Basically, every class consisted of 25 to 30 students and a single faculty is allotted for them. The faculties are highly qualified to research scholars or experienced forensic professionals. Generally, 2 main exams were conducted - one was during the mid-term and the other one at the end of the term. Apart from this monthly tests and surprise tests were quite common. The exams were difficult but the questions were quite tricky.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are biotech labs and government institutions in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad that offer internship opportunities. Students are allowed to have hands-on experience in projects like "Biocon" or Investigations.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible from Bsc. 3rd year and Masters 2nd year for placements. The average package lies between 300000 to 400000, however the package is entirely negotiable based on the students' calibre. 70% of students are placed every year. I plan to practise in central or state forensic science laboratory after completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

On an honest note, the fees are very economic and for 3 years of bachelors, it will hardly cost around ten thousand rupees. Apart from that, there are general scholarships for minority students and physically handicapped students as well. Internships and jobs were seasonal and generally offered to students studying in their bachelors final year or master's final year. The stipend varied between five thousand to fifteen thousand.

Campus Life

5

The college has huge libraries and outdoor areas where various sports activities are conducted. Common sports like kho kho, cricket and football are given huge priority. The classrooms are well equipped with white boards and LCDs for better understanding of students. There are different laboratories where different practical experiments are conducted. The best part of the college is the tech fest which is generally called - Gathering. It is conducted every year in-between the month of Jan end and Feb start. It lasts for a week! The entire event is coordinated by the student council made of 7 members starting from Bsc 1st year. The entire week is devoted to sports and outdoor activities whereas the last 2 days are spent in stage shows.

Hostel Facilities

5

Government hostels are available for boys and girls. It's a basic hostel with a bed table and chair along with a cupboard. The registration process is quite simple where you simply need to pay a deposit of 1200 Rs/-and yearly charges of around 1000 Rs/-. However, there are nearby pgs or rooms available at the price of Rs 1500 to 3000.

Interview Experience

5

The tests are general nature with MCQs from physics, chemistry and biology. Students are selected on a merit basis mainly on how they perform in the entrance test and their scores of HSC. I was lucky enough to score well in my 12th and additionally I was preparing for medical so the test wasn't difficult for me to ace.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
