IIT Indore Scholarship 2025: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

IIT Indore offers various scholarships and financial aid programs to support students based on merit, economic background, and category. The Merit Cum Means (MCM) scholarship is available for students with an annual family income below INR 6 lakhs, covering full or partial tuition fees. The fees per semester is 40555/- for me (SC category). That is a total of 81110/- per year.So, for the whole B.Tech (four years), fees becomes 3,24,440/- This fee includes the following(per semester): Accomodation fee- 16000/- Insurance fee - 1600/- Examination fee - 500/- Laboratory fee- 1500/- Student Welfare fund- 500/- Mess fee- 17125/- This was just for SC/ST category , but for other categories like General or OBC, they have to pay 100000/- Tution fees extra. So, their total amount becomes 1,40,555/-. Also, this whole structure which I mentioned is for B.Tech only. There is other structure for PG courses.

Life at IIT Indore - "What makes it stand out!!"

Fees Structures is like 1L for tution fees and remaining 30-40k(tentative) is for otherfacilities like Hostel, Mess, Food, Gymkhana, Liabrary, etc. the Hostel and Mess fees makes the most part of the remaining fees around 28k. the above us fir general category, for GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL it is 2/3rd remission of tuition fees for SC/ST tution fees of 1L is waived off there are a lot of scholarship for category, economically weaker and women or girls scholarship like NSP. Merit Cum Need do not exist in IIT Indore.

Semester wise: ST Category students are paying 40000/-. It contains both(tuition+mess hostel) fees combined. For general category and obc: total fees per semester is 140000/- There is a remission scholarship or merit cum means scholarship for students who are economically weaker can waive 30000/- from their original fee. IIT Indore

I have paid nearly of 2 lakhs 37 thousand rupees these year. Total tuition fee is 2 lakhs and other 37 thousand are lad fee, mess fee, medical fee ect. There are also remission fee scheme for particular income like if your income is less than 1 lakhs you have to pay one third of total fee and for 1 to 5 lakhs you have to pay two third of total fee.

Life @ IIT Indore

The year wise fees at IIT Indore for all branches under the B.Tech. umbrella stood at INR 4.5 lacs. It has gradually increased over the years and currently stands at INR 6 lacs per annum. This is the increment in the tuition fee over the years. There were several other fee components such as hostel fee (if opted for) that stood at INR 22,000 per annum. Apart from this, a yearly fee of INR 10,000 and one-time registration fee of INR 5,000. There was a security deposit of INR 1,000 that was refundable upon successful completion of the course. The fees structure, except the tuition fee, was same for all students. The tuition fee was completely waived off for SC & ST category students and 50% waiver for OBC students. Additionally, there was an MCM (merit-cum-means) scholarship funded by the government wherein a combination of the student's family's annual income and the semester grades were combined to offer waiver on the tuition fee. The JEE Advanced rank was used in place of semester grades to calculate the MCM scholarhsip for the first semester. This scholarship offered a waiver on tuition fee starting from 25% to 75% depending on both the factors, i.e. grades and famiily income.

Students who want to apply for BTech and MSc program for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship at IIT Indore need to fulfil some basic eligibility criteria given below.

Students from SC, ST and PwD category whose parental income is between 1,00,000 and 5,00,000 per annum and candidates from General category, EWS, OBC-NC whose parental income is less than 1,00,000 can apply for MCM scholarship.
Students from BTech background need to secure a minimum CPI of 7.5 whereas MSc students need to secure CPI of 8.0 for every semester.
