IIT Indore: Goods and Bads

The courses are designed as per the current industry parameter but there are many irrelevant couses in the first year.There are also very less in course projects and software tool learning. The teachers are very much confined to only exams and not teaches other thing that helps.There is one mid semester exam within 2 months of semester and end sem within 4th month of semester.The exams are easy as mostly previous year papers repeat or the question come from the specific book.

There are good opportunities for getting internship from the college.The roles offered mostly are sde but there are also good chances to get a job in core engineering. Three to four projects and a cpi above 6.5 are descent to secure any internship with some companies want above 8 cpim

Student are eligible for placement in 8th semester. Companies that visited every year are google,goldman sachs and accenture.They offer roles in siftware development and also core engineering.The highest offer made last year is of 68 lpa for sde profile and the averager package is about 25.45 lpa.The percentage of student placed is about 90 percent.I have planned to secure a job in machine learning and ai.

The tution fee are decided by education ministry so hikes are very rare.The overall charge per year is about 272000 which includes 200000 of tution fees and 68000 of mess and accommodation charges .The students belonging to sc/st and economically weak student get full tution fee waiver.

The annual techno cultural fest is fluxus.It held in the month of march. There is a big library in the campus with about 45000+ books and 3000+ e journals.The books are easily accessible through library card. The classroom are equipped with digital boards and smart class equipments. There are lots of clubs that operate within the campus for extra curricular activities but most of them are not very active .The fests and other event also get very less participation.

There is a single occupancy room provided to every student of the college.The rooms are equipped with proper lighting,fan,almirah and a study table.The meal quality is not good .Only the breakfast is descent.The registration process of the hostel are done once you arrived in the campus and they are quite affordable.

For getting eligible to enroll in the college you must have to clear the cutoff of jee main and get atmost 13000 rank if any one belongs to obc category as me. Application forms for the exams are released by nta and counseling are undertaken by josaa. There reservation benefits are as per the national policy.The jee mains and advance exam held once in year and the difficulty is pretty good.It held in the month of april to june .

The faculty to student ratio of the college is descent .It is about 13 students per faculty.Also there are one facilulty advisor alloted to a group of 4 student.The faculties are well qualified.Most of them are phd from foreign universities.There are enough student to faculty interaction.One can free to email any faculty and meet them according to their convenience.
