Likes

The qualifications of the faculties are great and faculty -to-student ratio is satisfiable.
It offers an average placement of 25 lpa but highest package of 1.95cr which is much better than many top iits.
I liked the environment of the college. it is covered in beautiful greenery

Dislikes

Academic are tough to handle and working members of campus is rude
Course curriculum is not very hectic but this course will not help you for placement and curriculum does not provide any real world application.
Even if it includes the name management but there is a lack of management

Well equipped infrastructure and decent placements

Relevant coursework and subjects are added in the curriculum that helped in placements and overall development of students
Decent placements although the market was bad this year

Dislikes

The mess food was good initially but the quality of the food degraded once the mess tenure was about to complete

The overall placements are pretty decent after looking at the job market currently. The students can go for summer internships during their 3rd year and also during their 4th year's 8th semester for winter internships. The students were eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. Highest package offered was of 61 LPA from Uber and Nutanix for SDE profile Average package was 18 LPA From 2025 batch 60% students are placed My plans are to stay in corporate for atleast 2 years.

Honest Opinion of IIITM Gwalior .

Likes

Lush green campus with fully air conditioned classroom and spacious and airy hostels.
All faculties are supportive towards research purposes.
The clubs provide insights about different tech domains like web-dev,iot etc.

Dislikes

Attendance policy is very strict i.e. 75 percent.
Too much ciricullum with 9-6 classes and assignments.
Exams schedule is too packed and there is no time for revision.

Students from 4th yr are eligible for Campus placemts. Some of the companies are Groww,Google,Rakuten, Goldman Sachs, IBM etc. Highest 63 lpa and avg 22.5 lpa. 90 percent of students get placement every year. Pursuing SDE Role in big tech companies.

COMPETITION IS HERE, ABV-IIITM

Likes

The coding environment of the campus is too good. People here are competitive and always strive to be best amongst their mates.
Greenery is pleasant here. When it's raining ABV IIITM really hits different.
Diversity. Many students here are from different parts of the country, so people can learn new things explore more from their mates.

Dislikes

Campus Life is also fine, but not great, as students are not authorised here to conduct different culturals as it will be always the call of management
Intime for girls, its till 1030. After that girls are not allowed to go outside. It's kinda good one but though they cannot party outside after that time, it would generate fines on them.
Students schedules are tight, like lab hours and daily classes are long, which would make them tired till evening. And weather here is also not so good that we can walk all along and go to classes every now and then.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester I will be able to take campus placements and as for internship you can even start as a newbie. I'm in my second year so no companies visited yet. Highest is 67 lakhs and lowest is around 7-8 lakhs per annum. 82-85% of students are placed by the end of 4th year. After getting a degree I'm planning to continue with my job for 4-5years and then planning to go for a startup.

Life at ABVIIITM

Likes

I liked the environment of the college. It is covered in beautiful greenery
I also liked the hygenic maintainence of the college, you wouldn't see piled up trash anywhere in the college and in hostels too.
I personally am a sports person and sports fests in college were celebrated excitingly.

Dislikes

There is a lot to walk. Honestly, If you live in girls hostel, the only thing accessible to you is your mess and everything lies soo far from girls hostel.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester students will be eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit like nutanix,rakuten and offer quite good package. Highest package offered on campus was by nutanix and average package will be 10LPA. About 60% students gets placed.

Likes

The lust green campus gives postive vibes.
Sports facilitites are great. Swimming pool, badminton court, tennis court etc.

Dislikes

No NON-VEG IN MESS. FOOD QUALITY IS POOR.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college are good . The average placeemnts in the college for different batches in 2023 is as follows: 1) BCS -22.01 LAKHS 2)IMT - 24 LAKHS 3) IMG - 16.7 LAKHS. All the students are placed.

Likes

The greenery in and around the campus feels very good.
The sports facilities are pretty good and maintained.

Dislikes

Very poor gym facilities and equipment also in disorder

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is brand new and has been adopted starting this year. It has been planned according to the NEP 2020.It is very relevant to the current scenario and introduces us to different domains early on.The exams also don't happen very frequently.

Likes

Campus ,the greenery and the weather.The best time is the winters , the campus is heaven.
Seniors help in every thing . Connections matter for off campus placements
Friends and hostel Life.Hostel life is a must have once in a life . We get to know new things .

Dislikes

Faculty teaches things which are not used in the latest world .
Teachers should be more young as students can connect to them.
Classrooms are very big. but the air conditioning is not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the CSE course curriculum as 7/10 as the ere are many subjects that are not relevant to the course ,but they are taught.As a CSE student , I do not like to study electrical fundamentals . It should be more related to tech and coding .

IIITM GWALIOR: OLDEST IIIT

Likes

Infrastructure and environment of college is best.
Sports ground are well maintained along with many tournaments going around througout year.
After being hard course for tech it also provides central indias largest cultural fest aurora.

Dislikes

Gym should be improved so that all equipments should be provided.
Mess quality should be improved. Mess quality is worse than many colleges.
Laptops should be allowed in class as being a tech college.

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is quite good. It offers an average placement of 25 lpa but highest package of 1.95cr which is much better than many top iits. It is well established and oldest iiit so hence placement offers are quite good.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, you will be eligible for campus placements if you get the required CGPA set by the company. Nearly 30 companies visit the campus and 50 offers will be made for 79 students with an average package of nearly 12 lakh. While off-campus placements is where student excel. 50% of people get placements.

Likes

Hostel Room is better than that I expected
The course structure is good and managable
A few clubs and there culture is just amazing

Dislikes

Mess food is not at all managable some days
Some complaints are not resolved in our hostel for months
The classes here are too boring sometimes

Placement Experience:

I guess the placements here are dependent on the skills of the students. Most of the companies have recruited the best. The placement cell is really active here they always keep updating the students about the opportunities.

Anurag MishraDual degree (Btech+Mtech) from Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior

IIITM Gwalior is a reputed technological institute with decent placement record. The placements are especially good for CS/IT branches. Students from non-IT branches also get placements in IT companies. IIITM Gwalior placements concluded with an average CTC of INR 16.85 LPA. Google, Dell, Mathworks, Samsung, and Amazon were the major recruiting participants in the placement drive.

Academics are pretty good at the institute. It has an excellent faculty pool. Most of the faculty members have completed their PhDs. IIITM G has an active coding culture on campus. Seniors teach the nitty-gritty of coding through the coding club - AASF club. There are regular program contests and quizzes.
