How good is veterinary college hebbal , bangaluru

After you get into the course you will be provided with counsellor who are the teachers of different departments and help you solve your problems. I personally liked DR GP KALMATH sir who is an excellent faculty in physiology department. I've learned so many things from him. All of the faculty is best in their field because they have itself did immense hardwork in teaching Since currently annual system is going on so there are 3 internals and finally externals are there

Faculties are well versed with good subject knowledge.

The faculty to student ratio is around 1 : 30. Faculties are very much approachabe even during non teaching sessions. The student teacher relationship is very healthy respecting the boundaries and discussions of subject related matters. I liked dr. Manjunath and dr. Bharat due to their proficient teaching skills and in depth subject knowledge. There are 3 internals with a jap of 3 months they are moderately difficult as one needs minimum 50 percent marks to clear course is very much relevant.

Highly qualified and experienced professors

Dislikes

Faculty not compassionate towards animals . Dogs are beaten up and kicked out .

Student Snaps:

Faculty keeps changing during the year due to transfers which compromises education quality. Students are treated like kids . It does not feel like a professional course at all . Dr Yatish - Department of Animal genetics and breeding . Very knowledgeable and punctual. Dr . Veeregowda - Department of veterinary Microbiology . Very knowledgeable and experienced Dr Shrikrishna Isloor - Department of veterinary Microbiology. Easy to approach and understands students well. Dr Santosh CR - Department of veterinary Pharmacology. Knowledgeable and understanding of the students. Faculty I didn't like Dr. Mohan - Department of public health and epidemiology . Arrogant, egoistic . Dr Prabhu T M - department of Animals Nutrition . Fails students unnecessarily Exams 3 Internals in a year . Best of 2 marks are considered for final score . Approx . 20% of students fail to clear the exams . Course Curriculum is relevant but not taught accordingly .

About the lectures and the way they teach us

Each department has 3 lecturers who have completed their mvsc and PhD in their respective subject. They usually communicate with Students and rectify their problems.there are 3 internals and one external paper conducted and are of medium deficult level.

here all the qualifications made by the teacher are master in veterinary science and also many of them have made PhD in their respective subjects and few are pursuing the PhD and still involved in effective teaching

We have almost 80 students per batch and every subject atleast has 2 professors, the classes are well equipped for everything you'd need to study the library is also good depending on your needs and the experience you'd get is adequate

Review of the College by Current Student

For every subject, in each department there are at least three professors. They all are well qualified, all of them have studied from IVRI and all of them have good knowledge about the subjects. And student can go to them anytime and ask anything.
