- No placement is provided but one can easily get the job after degree
- NCC is not available as compared to other colleges which is a drawback
- Infrastructure is little old because it is one of the oldest veterinary college in our country
Course Curriculum Overview
People think that this course is good if one don't get the MBBS seat but in my view it's wrong . Once you enter this field you'll discover vast opportunities here . For the real world application you'll start to learn from the very first day each and everyday of your degree is important because you learn the things which you'll use in the field Internals are taken every 2 to 3 months but their difficulty level is harder than the externals since it prepares you for the internals
Internships Opportunities
College gives various internship centre during one year internship. Which is compulsory. You will be placed in different centre all around the Karnataka. In the centres you will be given different duties according to your batch number . Currently the stipend given is 14000 for first 6 month and 17000 for next 6 months
Fees and Financial Aid
In the previous year thais 2023 for 1st year I've paid 69600 . This year it's going to be less than that . You need to pay it by demand draft . For SC and ST students it is around 9000 . For scholarship they give 36000 if you score 7 or above 7 cgpa for all india quota students. And also the local students from Karnataka also recieve scholarship but they don't need to score 7 cgpa .
Campus Life
Each and every south indian festival is enjoyed here with great joy also it creates the bond between the different culture students Each and every field books are available in the library Classroom is equipped with smart board Yes this college focuses on sports also and regularly sports take place that are intercollege Student also run student portal for various problems in their day to day life
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room is provided with beds , tables , cupboard etc .each room contains 3 students The meal in hostel is typical south indian meal in which you'll get rice every time on your tables with different meal on different occassions You need to pay 8000 first for security fees then the monthly mesh bill will come which will include all charges including room rent and electricity and maintenance charges
Admission
In first round I got veterinary college in Kerala pookode . No doubt their teachers are also good but the major thing was for me that the college is located on the top of the hill where there is very less patient count . And gives less opportunity. In second round I got this college For this college you need to score decent score in kcet exam and for all india quota you need to score good in NEET as competition is very high
Faculty
After you get into the course you will be provided with counsellor who are the teachers of different departments and help you solve your problems. I personally liked DR GP KALMATH sir who is an excellent faculty in physiology department. I've learned so many things from him. All of the faculty is best in their field because they have itself did immense hardwork in teaching Since currently annual system is going on so there are 3 internals and finally externals are there
