UG Admissions
- Admission to the course B.V.Sc. & A.H. under general quota is done strictly on merits obtained in the entrance exam KCET.
- A merit list is prepared on the basis of 50% of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in the common entrance test conducted by Govt. of Karnataka as per “Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Regulations 2008” prescribed by Veterinary Council of India.
Note: Admission to the institute is made subject to reservation of seats for SC/ ST/ Cat 1/OBC as prescribed by the State Government seats under reservation quota.
PG and Doctoral Admission
- Selection for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. is done on the basis of the student’s performance in Bachelor and Master degree program respectively.
- A written test is also conducted by the University for admission to both the courses.
- The written test for admission is of undergraduate level and contains 100 objective type questions with four responses.
- Due weightage is also given to the students who have the medals won in academics, sports, and cultural activities, passed in ICAR/JRF examinations, and those students who are Physically handicapped / Anglo-Indians / Scouts & Guides / Children of ExServicemen / Defense personnel.
