KVASU has released the Fee Structure 2025-26 for various M.Sc programs. The total academic fee is ₹ 1.81 Lakhs-₹ 3.01 Lakhs.

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), alternatively known as KVASU, is a state-government funded university that specializes in veterinary sciences, dairy technology, poultry sciences, and veterinary sciences and allied disciplines. It was established on 14th June, 2010, in Pookode, Wayanad, Kerala, and is institutionally accredited by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The university has established itself as an institution of distinction in academic, research and entrepreneurship in animal sciences and allied fields and was awarded the Kerala Governor’s Emerging Young University Award 3 years in a row (2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19). KVASU is NAAC-accredited.

KVASU Admission 2025

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) follows a structured and merit-based admission process for all its programs. The admission process is through entrance rest. This course is only in 2 colleges in Kerala. 1st one in Palakkad and 2nd is Pookode. Anyone who secures 50 percent can appear for the test. there is only 25 seat on each campus. The main campus was in Palakkad and it provide placement to large poultry farms such as Venkis, sugunan, Kerala Chicken, Brahma Giri, etc. This is a 3-year professional degree program with vast career opportunities.

Firstly,i chose this accidentally as i was unable to get into the profession i want to.But later on ,i started enjoying my profession and course.Now i am fully satisfied with my college.Basically the course is similar to any other medical course with a duration of 5 & 1/2 years including internship.There are only 80 seats for this course taken every year through NEET exams and by the KEAM .The faculties are super qualified and the teaching methods are too professional.The course is divided yearly and it requires 4 & 1/2 years of study with exams each year.The course will be easy to those who loves this profession and takes little effort for others

To apply for any of the above programs, candidates need to make an online application on the official admission website of KVASU. Upload the passport-size color photograph (150WX200H pixels) and signature (250WX90H pixels), both of which should not exceed 30kb in size. For making the payment of the application fee, the candidate will have two options:

The university offers a cluster of Undergraduate (UG) programmes like B.Sc, B.V.Sc and B.Tech  and Postgraduate (PG) programmes such as M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc along with Ph. D programme in different disciplines

  • For B.Tech. in Dairy Technology, the candidate has to either give KEAM i.e. Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical, which is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala, or they have to give AIEEA-UG.
  • For B.Tech. in Food Technology, the selection will be made based on only one entrance test known as KEAM
  • For admission in B.Sc course, candidates need to appear in an entrance test administered by the university.
  • Admission to BVSc.& AH will be done on the basis of All India Entrance Examination called NEET – UG.
  • Selection in all the post graduate and Ph.D. programmes will be done purely on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam followed by Interview and Counseling.

Candidates from the general category have to pay the application fees of INR 1020/-  (application amount and the bank charges) and the candidates from the SC/ST category(Native of Kerala origin) have to pay INR 520/-

What is the selection criteria for MVSc at KVASU?

The students must have passed in B.V.Sc. recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/10 (for SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent) or an equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of 50% marks in the traditional system. Tthe candidates need to appear in an entrance exam which is conducted by the university. Candidates would be selected as per their obtained marks in the exam.

Passed Higher Secondary examination conducted by the Government of Kerala or any board recognized by Indian Universities, with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and obtaining at least 50% marks aggregate for these courses. Admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. is regulated by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) and the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) on the basis of merit as assessed in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the NTA.

Candidate must have done Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, B.V.Sc. and B.Sc. Poultry Science. The admission is based on the score obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

No, KVASU Wayanad does not have any sports quota for admission to the courses. You need to appear for the KEAM entrance exam to get admission to UG courses.
